Wilbur chuckled and leisurely lit a cigarette. At that moment, Tasha finally regained consciousness. She hurriedly approached Louis, asking with great concern, "Young Master, are you alright?"
With a sharp smack, Louis pped Tasha directly across the face, coldly saying, "Get lost."
Tasha dared not utter a word but directed her anger towards Wilbur. She red at him, venomously dering, "You youngsters are too arrogant. You''re done for when the governor arrives!"
"Useless slut," Wilbur retorted with just these two words.
However, Tasha''s pride was deeply wounded, and she angrily shouted, "Who are you calling a slut?"
"I''m calling you that. What''s the problem?" Wilbur responded, looking at her.
Tasha felt an inexplicable chill but quickly retorted, "Just wait! You''ll soon realize how terrifying Mister Louis is."
Wilbur chuckled, paying no attention to her. He had no intention of engaging in conversation with someone who clung to those in power and looked down on others.
After a brief contemtion, Wilbur took out his phone and made a call. After a moment, the call connected, and Wilbur spoke coldly, "Tyrone,e to the Songbird Jewelry Shop immediately."
"Your Holiness, what happened?" Tyrone detected the displeasure in Wilbur''s tone and cautiously inquired.
Wilbur coldly snorted. "You''ll find out when you get here."
With that, he hung up.
Observing Louis''s behavior, it was evident that his old man was not any better. Allowing such a person to hold such a position was undoubtedly not a good sign.
Just after Wilbur hung up, Tasha incredulously remarked, "Am I hearing correctly? Did I just hear the name of the President?"
"What''s wrong? Can''t believe that I know the President?" Wilbur chuckled.
Tasha was momentarily stunned, then burst into a mockingughter, gazing at Wilbur with a face full of disdain. "You sure know how to brag. Is the President someone you actually know, or are you just trying to bluff your way through here?" "Kid, no one can save you now. Don''t attempt to lie your way out of this. Just wait obediently for your doom," Louis said with a grim expression.
Clearly, they did not believe that Wilbur had any connection with a president. They thought he was just putting on a show here.
Wilbur chuckled and ignored them, simply waiting to see how the situation would unfold.
After a dozen minutes, the roar of cars echoed on the street, and over ten vehicles stopped in front of the jewelry store.
Dozens of armed guards disembarked and encircled the jewelry store. A squad of guards entered, securing Louis.
At this moment, a luxurious car pulled up, and a tremendously obese man, easily weighing over 300 pounds, with a bushy mustache, struggled to move his body as he entered the store.
Louis stood up, tears rolling in his eyes, pitifully saying, "Father, it''s this guy who hit me and injured my bodyguard."
The fat man embraced Louis, patting his back repeatedly, forting him, "There, there. Don''t be afraid. I''ll take care of this. If he dares to touch you, I''ll cut him to pieces and feed him to the dogs."
"Okay!" Louis nodded vigorously.
Wilbur stared in amazement at the scene unfolding before him. This was indeed a spoiled brat and an overindulgent parent. Truly a despicable father-and-son pair.
At that moment, Tasha regained her arrogance, hands on hips, and shouted at Wilbur, "Kid, the governor of Banes, Laird Freda, the Secretary of State, has arrived. Kneel down and apologize."
She then turned to Laird with excessive ttery, bowing deeply, "Sir, this is the guy. He tried to snatch something favored by Mister Louis. When the young master disagreed, he resorted to violence. He''s truly despicable."
