Wilbur looked at Lilian, smiling calmly as she said, "I just got here. Wouldn''t it be inappropriate for me to join right away?"
"Pumido is a very good religion. There are no conditions to joining, and you''ll receive the blessing of the Lord of the Universe. You''ll have a lot of good luck from that moment on," Lilian said with a smile.
Wilburughed at that. She really did know how to sell her religion. The damn Lord of the Universe.
"Miss Lilian, I''ll consider it," Wilbur said with a smile.
"Lilian smiled when she heard that, "Alright. What are you here for?"
"I''m here on vacation," Wilbur said casually.
Lilian immediately said, "Let me be your guide then. I''m familiar with everything here."
"Sure, can you help me find a ce to stay first?" Wilbur asked.
Lilian nodded, "Sure, follow me."
So, the two of them headed toward the city.
Along the way, the various buildings in the city had very local vors.
It was a mix of modernity and indigeneity that had a unique vor. The cobblestone ground was also particrlyfortable to walk on.
After walking through several streets, Lilian talked about the city''s history but made sure to praise Pumido while she did. She was obviously a devout believer in Pumido.
When they turned a corner, Wilbur saw a burnt-down church.
"What happened here?" Wilbur asked.
Lilian shrugged. "A few days ago, there was a conflict between the Church of the Fire Dragon Lord and Pumido. They fought, and angry Pumido believers burned down the church. "
"Why did the conflict happen?" Wilbur asked.
Lilian shook her head and said, "Pumido has already been here for hundreds of years, but the Church of the Fire Dragon Lord is invading this cepletely. Conflicts naturally rose between the two."
"Isn''t it fine for both to develop themselves?" Wilbur said.
Lilian shook her head, "This is a war of faith. Millerton is the holy city of Pumido. Other religions aren''t allowed in here. Even the Church of the Holy Illuminati wasn''t allowed to enter."
"It looks like you''re a devout follower of Pumido too, Miss Lilian," Wilbur said with a smile.
Lilian nodded, "That''s right. Pumido is a very united religion. We love and help each other. We don''t want other religions invading this ce."
Invasion!2/1/2024
Wilbur shook his head. That word revealed how resistant Pumido was to other religions.
At that point, the two of them arrived at a hotel. Lilian said, "This is the best hotel
in Millerton, and it''s not expensive. Do you want to stay here?"
"Sure," Wilbur said.
"You should earnestly think about joining Pumido. You won''t regret it." Lilian smiled and left.
Wilbur waved before he entered the hotel.
After entering the room, he sat by the window, staring at the city and feeling lost in thought.
For the moment, it seemed like there was nothing wrong with Pumido. It did not seem like an evil cult.
Could it really just be a simple battle of faith?
If that was the case, then he needed to deal with this carefully.
Lilian left Wilbur and walked over to the governor''s mansion in the middle of the city.
The two guards at the entrance saw Lilian and quickly saluted. "Miss."
Lilian walked directly into the governor''s mansion. She passed through the halls and rooms and arrived at the dining room.
A beautiful woman was sitting at the dining table, and there was a luxurious meal on the table.
