Roshan and the others could not help but worry at those words.
It was undeniable that Wilbur was tremendously powerful.
However, wouldn''t it be far too dangerous for him to challenge all the cultivators of a whole nation on his own?
Kamura sobbed as he cried out, "Yes, sir! I''ll be sure to bring these words home."
"Get lost." Wilbur put the historical halberd away, standing with his hands behind my back.
Kamura mustered up thest of his spiritual energy and fled for his life, clutching his broken leg and uncaring of the terrible pain.
The next second, Wilbur''s gazended on Karmon, who was trembling all over. Karmon''s entire body seemed to have been glued to the ground.
He wanted to run, but his legs had stopped listening to him a long time ago. All he could do was tremble in fear as he stared at Wilbur.
"Siding with outsiders and attacking your own people. What do you have to say for that?"
Karmon copsed to his knees, wailing at the top of his lungs. "I was forced to do that, sir! Kamura threatened me to surrender, or he''d kill my entire family! I had no other choice, please!"
"Well, I would''ve let you go if you''d just surrendered because you lost, but you brought harm upon your own people. I can''t forgive you for that, can I?" Wilbur said sharply, making Karmon tremble all over.
"I didn''t want to do it! I swear!" Karmon begged.
Wilbur sneered. "You''d be the first to betray the country in a war, you traitor. You don''t deserve forgiveness in the slightest."
"Please don''t kill me, sir. Please, please....." Karmon could not think of anything else to say then and could only beg.
Wilbur, however, shed a smile. "Oh, don''t you worry. I''m not going to kill you. You don''t even deserve to have your blood on my hands."
"Yes, I don''t deserve to be killed by you! I''m worse than an animal, that''s right!" Karmon let out a triumphant, desperate smile.
Roshan and the others could hardly contain their rage, sneering at the sight. Just then, however, an explosive sound rang through the air.
A bullet pierced through Karmon''s chest, burying itself in the wall behind him.
Ryder dismantled his super cannon in a matter of seconds, packing it up in its case before heading over to stand behind Wilbur emotionlessly.
Karmon stared at the gaping wound on his chest, as well as the blood gushing out of it uncontrobly.
"Didn''t you say you weren''t going to kill me?" Karmon mumbled in a daze.
Wilbur smiled. "I wasn''t the one to kill you, though?"
"You..."
Karmon copsed amidst his fury as his life drained from his body.
The crowd was overjoyed. Wilbur had never intended to let the bastard go in the first ce.
At the same time, everyone could not help but grow wary of Ryder as well.
Despite the fact that Karmon had lost all his bravado and would never have been able to fight back in the first ce, it was undeniable that he was still a Sanctuary level cultivator.
Ryder had taken Karmon down with a single bullet, which meant that the gun he had shot it out of was no joke.
Just then, Wilbur turned to Roshan and the others. "Have someone take care of this."
"Of course, sir. Please,e with me."
Uncaring of his wounds, Roshan invited Wilbur into the living room and insisted that Wilbur sit at the main seat.
Wilbur could not turn him down and thus followed suit.
Ryder sat next to Wilbur in silence.
Roshan stood in the middle of the room with his son Robert and a dozen other cultivators from Emerald Province, and all of them bowed deeply to Wilbur.
"It''s fine, it''s fine. Please sit down, all of you," said Wilbur.
