Wilbur smiled and said, "Yes, but they''ve already escaped."
"Don''t worry. We''ll investigate everything he did carefully. I assure you that we won''t let him off so easily," Damon smiled and said.
Wilbur nodded and said, "Greencross Society is a charity organization. If there''s a problem with them, it''ll affect many kind people out there. You should investigate it carefully."
"We''ve already had our attention on him for a long time. We have all the evidence we need in our hands. They won''t be able to escape," Damon said.
Wilbur nodded before he walked forward, stopping in front of Warner and May as he gave them a once over, slowly saying, "If you do evil, then you''ll be punished. I hope you''ll learn to be humbler in prison so that you won''t offend anyone there."
"Sir, save me, please. We can talk about it," Warner actually asked Wilbur to save him in his panic. The fear had truly gotten to his head.
Wilbur shook his head and said slowly, "I''m already letting you off easy by not teaching you a lesson personally. What else do you want?"
Wilbur felt incredibly exasperated. What was wrong with that person? What made him think that he would help him?
However, Warner was in aplete panic at that moment. He felt that, with
Wilbur''s status, as well as Faye and Faron, he would be able to turn things around with just a word from them. He did not even think about whether Wilbur would help him or not.
At that moment, Damon shouted, "Take him away."
The investigators dragged the two of them away.
"Goodbye," Damon politely said to Wilbur, Faye, and Faron.
Wilbur and the others nodded as Damon left with his team.
Wilbur shook his head as he watched those two being brought away.
He never expected things to end like this.
He had thought that he would need to teach Warner and May a lesson if they continued to act up.
Yet, the two of them already suffered the consequences without him needing to raise a finger.
That oue was probably the most terrifying one for the two of them.
"Let''s go," Wilbur looked at the other two and walked outside.
Faron and Faye followed him.
When they were back at Seke Ind, the three of them walked into Wilbur''s room, and Faye made some tea.
Wilbur looked at Faron, who was sitting cross-legged, and said slowly, "What happened?"
"What do you mean?"
"Why did you resign?"
"I just didn''t want to work anymore."
"Who do you think you''re fooling?" Wilbur asked.
Faron suddenly sighed as he lit a cigarette, but he didn''t say anything.
At that moment, Faye finished making the tea and ced it in front of the two of them. She sat down next to Wilbur and said slowly, "Faron is going through a lot right now. I''ll tell you, but you''re not allowed to be angry."
"Just tell me. Why would I be angry?" Wilbur said.
Faye sighed as she frowned and said, "After his father came back from Northseecher, his father told Faron to cut ties with you. He didn''t want to listen and resigned as well. He hasn''t been home for a few days."
Wilbur frowned and was silent for a long time, "Faron, why did your father ask you to do that?"
Faron suddenlyughed and said, "It''s just politics. I don''t want to be a part of this rotten game, so I resigned. I''m nning on cultivating and bing as strong as you. That would be so much better than being a government official."
Wilbur looked at Faron. Faron seemed incredibly nonchnt and calm.
"So, you fought with your father?" Wilbur said.
Faron said, "We fought a bit, but it''s fine. I''m not interested in working in the government anyway."
"That''s not good. You should go back and talk to your father properly. You''ve got a bright future in politics, don''t mess that up," Wilbur said.
Faron looked at Wilbur and said, "Boss, aren''t you angry at what my father did?"
