Chapter 1172

Morgan widened his eyes at the sight. "Please calm down, Prince Penn! There seems to be a misunderstanding here. Please don''t get physical."

The crowd heaved a sigh of relief seeing the president speak out. There was no way this guy was going to kill Leo in the president''s face, even if he was Trevor Penn.

Leo rxed at the sight as well. Despite the fact that he was an Aura level cultivator himself, Leo knew that he was nothing in front of someone like Trevor.

Of course, he was still scared for his life.

Just then, however, Wilbur drove his spear into Leo''s chest, hoisting him into the air.

Blood sttered on the walls as Leo looked down at his skewered body in disbelief.

The other higher-ups went pale in the face as well. No one had expected Wilbur to go in for the kill, especially not with the president there.

Was he really that uncaring of the consequences that woulde? This was Manand he was in, where Leo was a known close friend of the president.

Morgan stared at Wilbur dumbly as well, shock and pain clear in his expression.

Just then, Wilbur said, "You had the nerve to threaten me, saying you were going to have me killed. I really don''t know for the life of me where you found the courage to do that."

Of course, Leo could hardly get another word out then.

As blood gushed out of him, Leo''s life began to fade as well.

"Remember this—ignorance is not one''s greatest w, but arrogance is. This is what you get for provoking me."

The spear vanished after Wilbur spoke, and Leo''s body crashed onto the floor heavily.

He had lost consciousness by then but still managed to hear Wilbur''sst sentence.

Of course, Leo did not get the chance to ponder what those words meant. The banquet hall was dead silent.

Everyone''s expressions were wrought with panic, unsure of what to do next. Atst, all eyes fell on Morgan as they waited to see how he would handle this.

Morgan stumbled over to Leo, stroking his face, and appeared to be filled with grief.

The crowd exchanged nces with each other. It seemed like Morgan had been closer to Leo than any of them could even imagine.

The next second, Morgan rose to his feet calmly.

He looked at Wilbur, before turning to face the crowd. "Leo Emer greatly

disrespected Prince Trevor Penn and got what he deserved. Anyone who dares to

do the same shall meet the same fate."

The crowd gasped at the words.

Despite how much Morgan liked Leo, he could not trump Wilbur''s power.

It was clear to them that anyone else who had done the same thing would undoubtedly receive the same treatment.

Just then, Wilbur''s gaze fell on Leo''s deputy officer.

Thedy was trembling from head to toe, gripping the pistol at her waist as she glowered at Wilbur.

Wilbur eyed her coldly. "I wouldn''t take that out if I were you, unless you want to be with General Emer here, of course."

The deputy officer''s chest heaved. She clenched her fingers around the pistol, but never drew it.

Morgan shouted, "Someone take her away right now!"

A few Special Forces officers rushed over, putting the deputy officer in handcuffs at once.

Right after that, a figure came crawling over, sobbing his lungs out as he fell to Wilbur''s feet. "Please forgive me, O'' Mighty Prince! It''s all my fault, it''s all my fault! Please forgive me, I''m begging you."

The figure was none other than Jimmy.

He was absolutely terrified upon finding out that Wilbur was Trevor Penn.

Seeing Wilbur kill Leo had almost made Jimmy pass out.

Not only did the president not me Wilbur for killing Leo, but he even spoke up for him.

It was clear that things were not going to end well for Jimmy.
