Leo smiled, shaking the hands of the crowd surging forward to greet him one by


    one.


    The people here all held positions of some amount of power, yet all of them seemed meek, greeting Leo obediently like little children.


    It was important to note that Leo was close to the president and was due to be the defense minister, and people like them were a far cry inparison.


    Besides, Leo was only in his thirties and had gotten to such a high position. His future was unmistakably bright.


    It would only do them well to get in his good books.


    Leo himself had a winning smile on his face as well, greeting the crowd one by one.


    Wilbur smirked at the sight.


    Leo definitely knew how to be a politician, with the way he socialized with the public.


    The people crowded forward, practically fighting to ask him even the most basic of questions. They were clearly putting him on a pedestal.


    Leo was a national hero who had saved the people from a powerful evil force, and no one couldpare to him.


    Wilbur could not help but sneer.


    What the hell was Leo doing when Maddox was still around?


    Why was he getting all the credit?


    Of course, Wilbur did not say anything about it. After all, he was just showing up for a while.


    These people were free to do or say whatever they wanted.


    Just then, however, an official close to Wilbur shouted at him, "Why do you have that look on your face? Do you have a bone to pick with General Emer?"


    Wilbur raised an eyebrow, looking at the man who shouted, then at Leo. "Dude, are you seriously using me to draw the guy''s attention just because you couldn''t gain his favor?"


    "Ha! Tell me your name, I''d like to know just who you are to disrespect General Emer''s name like this," the official retorted loudly.


    His voice drew the attention of the people around him, and they looked over curiously.


    Leo turned around as well, his gazending on Wilbur.


    His expression darkened as soon as he saw who it was, then immediately


    marched over to stand right in front of Wilbur.


    The official shouted at once, "General Emer, this guy was disrespecting you! I told him off, and he had the nerve to talk back to me! The nerve of him!"


    Leo paid the official no mind, staring coldly at Wilbur. "What''s your name, and how did you get in here?"


    "Oh, you''ll know my name soon enough," said Wilbur calmly.


    "How dare you! General Emer just asked you a question. You''d better answer it right now!" the official shouted behind Leo.


    Wilbur smirked, then shook his head and ignored them.


    Just then, however, Leo piped up again. "You''ve got some nerve, showing up here after hitting my driver. What do you take me for, huh?"


    "Who do you think you are for me to take you for anything at all, though?" Wilbur retorted at once.


    Leo''s expression shifted as the crowd gasped as well.


    This guy had hit one of Leo''s men. Did he have a death wish?


    The official seized the chance to shout as well, "Very well! I can''t believe you actually hit one of General Emer''s men, and still be speaking to him like this. Are you looking to be killed?"


    "I''m definitely not, but you might be killed if you keep talking like that," Wilbur said, eyeing the official coldly.


    The official turned to Leo at once. "This guy''s acting out of line, sir. Let me take care of him."


    "You?" Leo raised an eyebrow.


    The official said at once, "The name''s Jimmy Hale, sir! I''m the new deputy director


    of the Department of Political Affairs. Let me get Special Forces in here to put this man in handcuffs right now."


    Jimmy gave Leo a charming smile.
