Chapter 1162

"What on earth do you think you''re doing?" Wilbur asked.

The beautiful woman frowned at him. "Out of the way. I''m only interested in the handsome one."

    "What the f*ck?!"

Wilbur found himself ring up in annoyance. He was admittedly nowhere near as good-looking as Shepard, but wasn''t it a little too much to be kidnapping someone in broad daylight?

Shepard frowned, swinging the Nature Longsword in front of him.

Wilbur said at once, "Now, there''s no need to get physical."

It would really be too much if there was bloodshed because of something this small.

Just then, the beautiful woman smiled. "Don''t you worry, I''m not going to do much to you. Juste keep mepany for a few days, and I''ll pay you handsomely."

"Uh, could I ask how much this handsome payment would amount to? Also, who even are you?" Wilbur himself was a little curious. Where did this womane from for her to be speaking like this?

Despite the fact that Manand did not have the best security, kidnapping a man in broad daylight was unlike anything Wilbur had even seen this far.

The woman nced at Wilbur haughtily. "My name is Fiona. I''m sure you''ve at least heard of me?"

"I really haven''t," Wilbur said awkwardly. He was not a Manand local and had been too busy the past few days to know much about the people here.

However, it definitely seemed like thisdy was an important figure from the way she carried herself.

One of her bodyguards piped up. "Miss Fiona''s the daughter of our Secretary of State. Got it?"

    Realization dawned over Wilbur atst.

No wonder thisdy had the audacity to act this way. She did have the right to do so, to be honest.

"Oh..." Wilbur nodded profusely. "And how much would you be paying my friend here?"

Fiona red at Wilbur. "Five million."

"In Manand currency?" Wilbur frowned. That was hardly worth much.

    Fiona snorted. "In US dors."

"Whoa!" Wilbur eximed, before turning to Shepard with a sly smile. "Why don''t you just go? I''m telling you now, though, I''m getting half of whatever you get paid. You''re my follower, after all."

Shepard sighed. "Come on, sir. That''s not very funny."

Wilbur chuckled, shrugging at Fiona. "See, he doesn''t want to go."

Fiona''s expression turned ashen as she frowned. "I''ve always gotten any man I want. Don''t make me get physical here."

Wilbur looked at Shepard helplessly, with a strange smile on his face.

Shepard frowned. "Please get out of our way, or I won''t be nice either." Fiona''s expression shifted.

A beatter, she seemed to grow even more interested in Shepard, smiling at him. "You''re the first man to ever turn me down after knowing my identity. Alright, what do you want? What will it take for you toe with me?"

"Nothing. I''m not going with you," Shepard said calmly.

Wilbur frowned. "C''mon, dude! You don''t run into opportunities like this every day."

Five million US dors and a beautiful woman? It was the perfect deal.

Shepard furrowed his brows together. Who would have thought that there was this side to Wilbur?

He let out a sigh, looking at Fiona. "Please, get out of the way. We''d like to leave." Fiona stared him down coldly. "Are you really rejecting me?"

"Yes, I am." Shepard''s tone was calm, but firm.

Fiona''s expression shifted at once. "Get him!"

Her bodyguards charged toward Shepard. Wilbur scrambled to get out of the way.

Shepard frowned at the sight. The Nature Longsword was unsheathed, swinging in the bodyguards'' directions.

A powerful wave of energy made the bodyguards'' expressions shift at once, and they channeled their aura to defend themselves.

Of course, an Aura level cultivator was no match for someone at the Super Sanctuary level.
