Chapter 1128

The three elders widened their eyes in disbelief as they stared at Griffin.

Demi was startled as well. "What are you trying to do here, Dad?"

"What am I trying to do? We''ve ruled Mewatown for all these years. Do you think I''m going to surrender just like that?" Griffin asked coldly.

Demi could hardly believe her ears, but those words had indeede out of her father''s mouth.

Griffin said, "All four ns have controlled thends of North Manand for almost a century now. Our ancestors sacrificed themselves to make this possible. Are we going to give it up with just the slightest challenge thates our way? What would we say to them?"

Demi fell silent for a long time.

In the end, she let out a resigned sigh.

She did not know if her father was making the right choice here.

Just then, Westley spoke up with a frown, "Are you telling the truth?"

"You can take a look at Spiralville for yourselves if you don''t believe me. Half the town is in ruins," said Griffin. "To tell you the truth, Wilbur told me to order for the three of you to surrender within three days, or he''s going to give you hell. Do you think you''ve got no part to y in this?"

"Is he really as powerful as you made him out to be?" Salem asked.

Griffin nodded. "More powerful than you think."

"He killed Lowen with one move and took out half of Spiralville. That makes him about peak Sanctuary level, right?" Jasper frowned.

    "Absolutely," said Griffin.

Salem''s expression turned cold. "So what if he''s peak Sanctuary level? We have three Sanctuary level cultivators here too, and all our troops. I''m sure we''ll be able to take him down."

It was clear that all three of them had believed Griffin. There was no point in him telling a lie like this.

After all, losing Lowen would imply that the Kn tribe had lost their most powerful force. His death should be something Griffin should be scrambling to hide instead of announcing it like this.

Griffin said, "This man''sbat skills are also other-worldly. I honestly don''t know if we''ll stand a chance, even if all three of your Sanctuary level cultivators join forces against him."

"As long as he isn''t a Super Sanctuary cultivator, I''m pretty sure we''ll be able to beat the guy," Westley said.

Griffin frowned. "I can''t be too sure. Something tells me he''s not just any regr Sanctuary level cultivator. It''s best if we stay wary."

"Do you have any ideas, then?" Salem piped up.

    Griffin got up, pacing around.

A whileter, he finally said, "I think the best n of action would be to ask that person toe out and help us."

"You''ve got to be joking. I only have one chance to ask for his help. There''s no way in hell I''ll agree to that unless my life''s in danger," said Jasper coldly.

The other elders shook their heads as well, clearly against the idea.

Demi raised her eyebrows. She did not know who the person they were talking about was.

Griffin frowned. "Since you don''t want to do that, we''ll try gathering all our armed forces. Have them surround Spiralville, and open fire with our most powerful weapons. That''ll at least wound the guy even if he doesn''t die, then your Sanctuary level cultivators can show up and battle him. We''ll have a higher chance against him like that. I just really think it would be better if we asked him for help."

Jasper, Westley, and Salem fell deep into thought.

All of this happened way too suddenly, and none of them were prepared for it.

Of course, all of them believed that Griffin was telling the truth. He had, after all, asked for their help to surround his territory.

Such a strategy to take down someone at peak Sanctuary level was more than fair.

The three elders fell silent for a while, exchanging nces.
