Chapter 1052

    The next morning.

Jude, Rowan, and the others sat waiting in the living room quietly.

The other members of the Cook family came in slowly, sitting down in the living room one by one.

At around eleven o''clock, over twenty people arrived. All of these people held important positions in Cook Corp.

They all stole nces at Jude and the others, their brows furrowed tightly.

Everyone had heard that the n''s hidden realm had opened upst night, and who had entered it.

Despite the fact that they had made it out safely, the Cook family had lost a dozen core family members.

Everyone knew as well that Jude and the others had not inherited anything.

They were all confused, waiting for an exnation.

Upon seeing that everyone was there, Jude got to his feet and looked around him. "I''ve called all of you here today to announce something of extreme importance to the Cook family."

The crowd perked up at the words at once.

Had they really been able to gain the ancestor''s inheritance from the hidden realm?

That would mean that the Cook family would be a cultivator household as well, which was wonderful news for sure.

Jude looked around at the eager expressions on everyone''s faces. "After discussing it with Second, Third, and Fourth Uncle yesterday, we''ve agreed to hire Master Wilbur Penn as the family envoy. We''ll have Master Penne out in a little to meet everyone, so we can all show our respects. Is everyone clear?"

The crowd went abuzz after hearing those words.

Not one word about the hidden realm had been mentioned, but there was now a mysterious new envoy. What was going on here?

Rowan saw the confused looks on everyone''s faces and slowly said, "Master Penn has the ability to connect with the heavens and the earth. With him as our n envoy, the Cook family shall no longer have to fear anyone."

"Sir Jude, and honorable elders, I''m a little confused. The hidden realm opened upst night. You guys entered and came back out, and we even lost over a dozen family members, yet none of you have said a word about it. Instead, you now im to have a new envoy. Could you please exin to everyone just what happened?"

A middle-aged man raised a question everyone had had in their minds. Everyone else turned to look at their n leader, as well as the three n elders.

Jude looked at the crowd. "You''re right. We did enter the hidden realm, but there was nothing there. The hidden realm has copsed. It doesn''t exist anymore. However, this envoy does have the ability tomunicate with the heavens and the earth. All four of us witnessed it, and we are certain he will be able to keep our n safe. There''s no need to question anything further."

Jude, Rowan, and the others had discussed the hidden realm through the night.

They had decided not to tell everyone else the truth. After all, it might not rub everyone the right way to have an outsider be the heir to their family''s inheritance. A riot might even break out because of this.

This might have a negative effect on Wilbur bing the family envoy, and thus they had chosen to hide the truth.

The crowd, however, broke out into discussion. It was clear that they did not entirely believe Jude''s words.

Jude then said coldly, "I''ve made the decision as the n leader and the three elders have agreed to it as well. There''s no need for further hubbub on this. I''ll have Master Penne out, and all of you can pay your respects."

"Sir, we pay the three Cookville Jays thirty million dors every year. With this new envoy, we''d like to know how much we''d be paying him now," the same person from earlier asked.

Jude nced at him. "Two hundred million dors. Yearly."

"That means we''ll be paying out two hundred and thirty million dors every year. Our family might be wealthy, but surely this figure is too much, don''t you think?"

Jude''s expression turned cold. "Do you know how dangerous the cultivator circle is? It''s only because we haven''t got any powerful elites in our n that we have no choice but to keep our heads low and prevent ourselves from expanding too much. Now that we''ve gotten the chance, there''s no way we''re missing it. Either way, our minds have been made. Anyone with anything to say about it can very well leave the n."

The crowd lowered their heads quietly at the words, but it was clear judging from the expressions on their expressions alone that they felt wronged.
