Perhaps he was unlucky or too unskilled. He gained nothing untilte at night.
He shook his head and put his fishing rod aside, and he went back to his room to rest.
Wilbur would fish by thekeside until it waste at night every evening.
He stared at the float while sitting on thekeside that evening.
"I don''t believe it. Is there no fish that would take the bait?" scolded Wilbur.
Suddenly, Faye walked towards him in a casual outfit. She sat on the field. "Why are you scolding the fishes?" teased Faye.
He sighed and replied, "It''s been a few days, but no fish would take the bait. Faron made fun of me for that."
"Perhaps there are no fish in theke," she said.
He asked, "How can this be? We see fish in theke all the time, but why do they disappear when I''m fishing?"
Sheughed and quietly apanied him.
It had been a while since he spent time leisurely, and it felt quite nice to him.
It was rare to spend time in peace and quiet.
"I''m sorry," Wilbur apologized all of a sudden.
She smiled and said, "It''s alright. I''ll wait for you."
Wilbur stared at the float and did not speak again.
They fell into silence again, but Faye thought it was sweet.
Suddenly, a man in his forties started to fish with his equipment near Wilbur.
They were at the outskirts of Seke Ind.
Wilbur opened the ce for public use.
The outskirts of Seke Ind often attracted anglers. They could sit there all day.
The man set up his chair and then found a spot to load up his rod. He finally nced at Wilbur.
"Buddy, did you get anything?" asked the man.
Wilbur smiled and shook his head.
The man looked at his float, then he walked over with his bait to help Wilbur.
"Newbie, huh?"
"Yes, I''m a beginner," said Wilbur.
The man said, "You have to set up a spot first, then wait patiently."
"Thanks, pal," said Wilbur.
The man asked after he helped Wilbur, "Buddy, can you pass me a cigarette?" Wilbur smiled and gave the man a cigarette.
The man lit it up and chuckled. He said, "My wife is strict. I only have enough money for bait, and none left to buy cigarettes."
Wilbur smiled to show that he understood.
The man returned to his chair and started to stare at the float.
Faye yawned around nine at night. She said, "I won''t apany you anymore.
Go ahead and continue fishing."
"Alright. You should go back and rest," Wilbur said with a smile.
Faye stood and nced at the man several meters away. She walked towards the bridge.
Time passed, and it was twelve midnight.
The man caught three fish, but Wilbur still did not catch anything.
He sighed and started to pack his tools.
"Pal, are you not going home yet?" asked Wilbur while looking at that man.
The man said, "I''m not going home tonight. My wife said she won''t allow me to go home if I daree fishing tonight. I''m not going home. I''m not afraid of her."
"Ha. Your wife sounds like quite the character. What''s your name?"
"Baz Henley. What about you, buddy?"
"I''m Wilbur Penn."
The man nodded and smiled.
Wilbur took out his cigarette pack and ced it on the man''s equipment. He said, "You should go home."
"I''m not doing it. You don''t know my wife. I won''t get any sleep tonight if I go home now," said Baz.
Wilburughed. Suddenly, a ray of de energy shot across the water and went straight for Wilbur.
Theke erupted with a terrifying energy all of a sudden.
Baz eximed and fell backward to the ground.
Wilbur looked displeased, and he instantly activated his spiritual energy.
However, he looked shocked.
His spiritual energy seemed to be interrupted by something. He could not use them at all.
He could not cast spells that he usuallymanded at will.
At that moment, the de energy could very well be a fatal threat to him.
