Chapter 710

For a second, Wilbur did feel like he was about to die.

His spirit energy had been drained, and even his powerful soul had not been able

to withstand the attack of the deathly power.

His soul began to disintegrate, his consciousness fading.

At thest, most critical second, a voice rang about in his soul.

"The soul is under attack. Summon the power of the Divine Dependent."

A golden me lit up on the Soul Tree.

The power of death was quickly forced to retreat in the face of these golden mes, burning outpletely without a trace.

The Soul Tree lit up with new mes, and the same mysterious voice rang once again.

"The power of the Divine Dependent had been consumed. The title will now be retracted."

Wilbur regained his consciousness, before remembering—

He had gotten the title of Divine Dependent some time ago, during one of his contributions.

He had thought that this title waspletely useless and even cursed that old dragon out quite a bit.

But now, Wilbur practically worshiped this old dragon.

Everything the old dragon had given Wilbur hade in handy, some of its blessings were even considered miraculous.

This Divine Dependent title, too, had saved his life.

    Thank you, Dragon God.

    And so, Wilbur woke up.

He caught sight of Logan about to kill Ryder and Isabe, and there was no way

he was going to let that happen.

He might be out of spirit energy.

But he still had his dragon energy, thunder energy, and spiritual energy.

The Dragon Punch was too much for even Logan to bear, and he was taken down at once.

Wilbur stared coldly at the man, the evil, ruthless bastard.

There seemed to be no reason for Wilbur to let him go.

The man, on the other hand, began to panic.

He backed up to Lily, throwing the Scepter of Death at Wilbur. "You can take it, I''ll leave."

"Leave? That''s a little optimistic of you, don''t you think?" Wilbur smirked coldly.

The man''s face turned pale. "You can''t kill me! I''m..."

Yet before he could finish, Wilbur hadunched the Boulder Dragon Bomb.

A dragon''s head rose from the ground, unching a fiery bullet crawling with scripture at the man.

    The man shouted, "You can''t..."

The bullet struck the man, blowing him to bloody pieces shooting in all directions and littering the ground.

Ryder and Isabe fell onto the ground in a sitting position, pletely drained.

Both of them were on the brink of copse, both physically and mentally.

Thankfully, it looked like they could rest now.

Wilbur picked up the Scepter of Death, giving it a once-over before tossing it into his demine. He then looked at Lily.

Lily was petrified. She did not even dare look at Wilbur, twisting her fingers anxiously.

Wilbur did not understand how someone with such power would be so cowardly.

He walked towards Lily, doing his best to appear as friendly as he could.

"Don''t worry, I''m not going to hurt you," Wilbur said.

The girl stole a nce at Wilbur, lowering her head in a hurry right after. It did, however, seem like she was a little less scared now.

"Could you tell me how you knew that guy?" Wilbur stopped around five meters before Lily, asking her the question in a soft, gentle tone.

Lily lowered her head, her voice barely audible. "I''m an orphan. The Gonzalez n took me in when I was little, and I was made to follow Stephen around after that to help him."

"I see," Wilbur said. "What does the Gonzalez n do?"

Lily''s head was still bowed as she said, "They''re businessmen. Antiques and the likes... Stephen loved collecting them."

"Are you afraid of him?" Wilbur asked.
