    “Has Leon gone crazy?”


    “Even staring death in the face, he’s challenging Elder Lapwood. Is he sick of living?!”


    All of the major families were looking at Leon with disbelief. They felt like they were looking at an idiot.


    They knew very well that Orvald was in a noble position. Since Orvald had given his word, Leon would


    be able to survive with his life as long as he obediently gave his method and treasures over, even if his


    power might be crippled.


    Yet, Leon did not take the chance to do that and keep his life. He even said he would destroy the


    Lapwoods!


    Was that not a death wish?!


    “Leon, are you suicidal?”


    Cynthia and Iris both looked at Leon with a dumbfounded expression. The hope they had earlier was


    completely extinguished!


    Of course, it was not just the two of them. Even Elder Young, Benedict, and the others were quite


    infuriated by Leon’s arrogant words!


    They could understand Leon not wanting to give up his treasure and his method, but Leon had no


    reason to anger Orvald with those words!


    Then, Leon would not just end up with his strength being crippled, but Orvald could very well kill Leon

    that not mean that his granddaughter would end up a widower?!


    “What an arrogant brat! Since you want to die, I’ll grant you your wish! Take this!”


    Orvald was furious. He did not waste any time as he struck out with an imperious force, attacking Leon


    head- on.


    “Old man, you asked for this! I’ll put my life on the line!”


    Leon clenched his teeth and used his final trump card. He took out one part of the Potential Energy


    from his pendant.


    The energy had been given to him by Master Haslewood as thanks. He had gotten three in total.


    In the few days he was at Dragon Corp, he could tell that Master Haslewood was an incredibly strong


    person, but he could not tell how strong!


    Furthermore, this was only a shred of energy that was left behind. It was not like Master Haslewood


    was there himself. Orvald was a master at the Emperor State, and he was not going to be easy to deal


    with!


    He was not confident that the energy would be able to hold Orvald back.


    If the energy from Master Haslewood failed, then he would only be facing death!


    “No…”


    Looking at Orvald attacking in his rage, both Iris and Cynthia paled, and their hearts sank.


    It was not just the two of them. Benedict, Elder Young, Vincent, and the others were the same. They


    had looks of hopelessness on their faces!


    “It’s done for. Leon’s going to die this time…”


    Everyone around them shook their heads and sighed.


    They knew that Leon’s skills were not at Orvald’s level. The two of them were worlds apart!


    None of them felt like Leon would be able to stand up to Orvald’s attack unless a miracle happened!
