    Just then, Walter, Lilith, and the other Fields strode out from behind the audience stance.


    “Theodore’s right! Cynthia, you are getting married to him today and Leon’s going to die!” Walter


    sneered and with his signal, the Fields surrounded the Shears within a blink of an eye.


    It was an unspoken threat directed at Cynthia, telling her that the Fields would attack the Shears if


    Cynthia dared to run away.


    “Why you!” Cynthia’s face flushed with rage. Despite how livid she was, she had no choice but to give


    up to protect her family from the Lapwoods.


    “Leon, just leave before they do anything to you,” She lowered her voice. Knowing what Leon was


    capable of, he would survive as long as he ran immediately and so long as she agreed to the marriage,


    the Fields would not harm her or her family.


    “Run? Cynthia, I came here to stop the wedding! To hell with the Fields and the Lapwoods! Anyone


    who stands in my way will die!” Leon roared coldly.


    The crowd stirred at Leon’s words.


    “Are we hearing this right?”


    “How dare he be so arrogant in front of the Lapwoods?”


    “Has he gone insane?!”


    The people around them gaped at Leon in disbelief.


    Though Leon already reached the Intermediate Overlord State and had no rival in Springfield City, the


    Lapwoods had two martial artists in the Advanced Overlord State and one martial artist in the Peak


    Overlord State and any one of them would be able to defeat Leon with ease.

    Not only did Leon not ignore Cynthia’s advice to run, but he also started provoking the Lapwoods.


    “How dare you, kid?! You are just in the Intermediate Overlord State and you dare to look down at us?!


    You must have a death wish!” Enraged, Sean desperately wished that he could order his guards to tear


    Leon apart, but since he intended to obtain the Power Method Leon possessed, he suppressed his


    anger.


    “Enough chit–chatting! Lapwood, right? They might be afraid of you, but not me! Juste at me with


    all you have. Let’s see what the Lapwoods are made of!” Leon sneered.


    Though he was not as powerful as Sean’s guards, he had plenty of tools that could turn the table


    around and he had nothing to fear.


    “Leon, are you mad?!” Cynthia gasped in disbelief.


    Iris and Ruth were both shocked as well.


    The three of them were close with Leon and knew the extent of his power better than most.


    Leon’s power level was lower than the Lapwoods guards and could not possibly win against them, so


    they could not understand why Leon would be foolish enough to challenge Sean.
