Leon was merely a man and since he was single, he could not be immune to her charm.
Before he knew it, Cynthia left a mark in his heart and as their rtionship progressed, the two realized
that they meant more than friends to one another even though they were not officially dating.
So long as Leon agreed, Cynthia would happily be his girlfriend, but he knew that Iris
remained to be the love of his life and he could not bring himself to ept Cynthia’s feelings.
Despite his reluctance, Cynthia was happy with their progress regardless.
She knew that Leon was still recovering from the breakup with Iris and was in no rush to start a new rel

A day before the auction, Cynthia drove Leon to Seacove City and the two selected a five–
star hotel to stay the night.
Inside the hotel room, Cynthia and Leon just settled down when a young couple came knocking on thei
r door.
The couple was dressed in expensive clothing and one could easily tell that they came from a wealthy f
amily.
The
young woman seemed to be the same age as Cynthia; she was fair and elegant–
looking, dressed in a skirt and high heels that highlighted her long, slim legs. Though the young woman
was a beauty of her own, she hardly held a candle to Cynthia.
“Cynthia, it’s been so long!” The young woman gave Cynthia a big hug.
“Yeah, since we graduated from college.” Cynthia smiled and hugged back enthusiastically.
The young woman was Sandra Doyle, Cynthia’s best friend at college and the two were close despite n
ot seeing one another since graduation. They continued to talk on phones or through messages and th
eir friendship remained as strong as it was in the past.
Cynthia notified Sandra ahead of time about her trip to Seacove City. She wanted to take the opportunit
y to see Sandra and
since Sandra lived in Seacove City, she would know more about the auction and might be able to provi
de certain user information.
“Cynthia, who’s this gentleman? Is he your boyfriend?” Sandra nced at Leon. Though Leon was
handsome in a way, he was not dressed in any luxurious
brand products, which made him appear slightly out of ce next to Cynthia..
“He’s-” Cynthia hesitated and instinctively turned to look at Leon. She desperately wanted to im Leon
to conclusions.
“My name’s Leon Wolf. I’m Miss Shear’s assistant,” Leon said.
Cynthia did not announce Leon as Cynthion Group’s chairman and most employees in thepany
assumed that he was merely her assistant, so Leon decided to y the part.
Seeing how Leon refused to say that he was her boyfriend, Cynthia felt slightly depressed.
