“D*mn it, what exactly did these guys do to Rice Cake?”
After all, an earthquake was nomon urrence in Jiangmen City. Meanwhile, the onset of the earthquake coincided perfectly with Rice Cake’s disappearance. Even an idiot would suspect that Rice Cake had something to do with it. Just one year ago, Rice Cake did cause a small-scale earthquake within Jiangmen City because of her bodily pains.
With worry continually gnawing at him, Zhao Yao sped up even more as he shouted in Xiao Yu’s direction, “Hurry up!”
Xiao Yu was bewildered by Zhao Yao’s sudden change in tone and asked, “What happened?”
Zhao Yao responded in his usual calm voice, “I have a bad feeling.”
With that said, he had already bolted forward, moving in the direction which Inspector Ho had pointed towards.
...
Meanwhile, Cheese was baffled by Rice Cake’s behavior. She just kept crying and showed no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Kimchi added, “I think there was a slight vibration just now.”
“Hmph,” Cheese had no time for Kimchi’s baseless worries. Instead, his sight was fixed on that pair of watery eyes. Rice Cake started to roll across the ground with tears streaming down her crimson cheeks. Cheese felt a pain searing through him and responded, “Rice Cake, just look at what the humans have done to you. You cannot continue to pander to your addiction. All these humans’ toys will only make your actions tardy. You should join us and y actual games.”
Anger seared through her as Rice Cake retorted, word by word, “I! Want! My! Inte!”
Cheese could only shake his head in despair. They continued to traverse across the vast grasnds with cats happily chasing after one another. Their angelicughter was music to anyone’s ears. This sort of y allowed the cats to hone their hunting techniques.
“Just look at how much fun they’re having! This is our tradition! It allows us to improve and be better hunters!” Cheese descended to the ground and picked up a furball before walking towards Rice Cake. A wide grin spread across his face as he uttered, “Rice Cake, join me and have some fun! This will make you forget about all those useless stuff.”
In a split second, the rocks which used to immobilize Rice Cake vaporized into thin air and exposed her true body.
Fish Ball sprang on this opportunity and shouted, “This looks like so much fun! I would love to y with that furball!”
Suddenly, Noodle’s concerned voice rang in Fish Ball’s ear, “Fish Ball, I’m starting to lose sensation in my lips. Is this a sign of recovery?”
Meanwhile, Cheese had gently set the furball on the ground. With a light tap, the furball had rolled all the way to Rice Cake’s feet.
Excitement shot out of Cheese’s eyes as he looked towards Rice Cake with a brilliant smile, “Rice Cake, throw that back to me.”
“Childish,” Rice Cake slid Cheese a condescending re as if he were a r*tard. She mmed against the furball with all her might, hurling it into the air before it disappeared amongst the bushes.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Instantly, the surrounding supercats sprang into action and went straight for the furball. Rice Cake’s lips curled with disdain as she sneered, “A bunch of country bumpkins.”
Cheese let out that same sigh of despair andmented, “Rice Cake, you are still a cat and this is what a cat should do.” However, Rice Cake waspletely indifferent to his words. Instead, her annoyance red.
However, Cheese was not about to give up. After that, he brought Rice Cake to arge plot ofnd that was covered with a unique white rock. At least 10 supercats were using it to sharpen their ws.
A perplexed expression distorted Rice Cake’s features as she asked, “What are they doing?”
Overwhelmed with nostalgia, Cheese answered, “These young supercats are training their ws. Every time they sharpen them, they will break and re-grow into stronger, sharper and more deadly ws. I, too, used to train here when I was younger.”
At the same time, Cheese threw his paw in the air and revealed five razor-sharp ws. He slowly ran his paw against the white rock as five straight lines emerged.
Brimming with pride, Cheese stared at his wonderful creation and continued, “Do you see this? Originally, this wide field was covered with your usual rocks. However, after countless cats have gone through this rigorous training and left behind the multiple scratch marks, these rocks have turned white.”
Cheese’s eyes darted towards Rice Cake and asked, “Rice Cake, do you want to try? When our superpower fails us, our ws and our fangs will be our final weapons.”
Rice Cake’s face scrunched into a grimace as she watched the young supercats’ ws break in two as their training progressed. She could not help butment, “This is too primitive, too barbaric. Back home, Zhao Yao helps me trim my nails.”
Cheese immediately interrupted her words, “Humans do that because they fear our true power! Rice Cake, you must forget about your past and revert to a true cat!”
Fish Ball added, “Rice Cake, I agree with him. You should just stay here while we return and exin everything to Zhao Yao.”
Cheese immediately shot Fish Ball a look of disdain and sneered, “Fish Ball, you too must stay here. Just take a look at yourself. Humans have enticed you with so much food that you can barely jump over a tiny wall.”
With his voice shaking with embarrassment, Fish Ball replied, “Actually, I prefer to use the door.”
Suddenly, Noodle stretched his mouth open and stuck out his long tongue saying, “I suddenly feel so much better. However, why are there so many dogs around? Are they all superdogs?”
After walking for another 300 meters, a small cabin emerged before them. It reeked of the smell of blood. Tens of fishes wereid neatly in a row, with one cat standing opposite each fish. Suddenly, they began to tear the fishes into pieces with their ws and fangs. Some of the fishes were still alive as the cats devoured them.
“What the f*ck?” Rice Cake could not believe her eyes, “What are they trying to do?”
“They’re eating.” Kimchi exined, “These are fishes freshly caught from the surrounding sea. I have to admit, they taste pretty good.”
“I’m asking you why you have to eat them raw.” Rice Cake watched as a cat severed a fish’s head into two with fresh blood dripping from the corner of its lips. Rice Cake shut her eyes in disgust and muttered, “Disgusting.”
“Disgusting?” Kimchi quivered with indignation, “We have been eating fresh fishes since the dawn of time. This helps with our muscle growth and makes our teeth stronger. This is what we should eat!”
“Enough!” Rice Cake’s body locked up with rage, “I do not want to spend another minute in this d*mned ce! Bring me back now! Immediately!” Following her deafening roar, her body began to vibrate. A barely visible mist emerged, shrouding her entire body.
Cheese could only shake his head and sighed, “Rice Cake, it seems like there is much that you have to learn. You will thank me after you’ve grown ustomed to this ce.”
With that, he mmed his paw against the ground. Immediately, blocks of soil broke off from the ground and flew towards Rice Cake, encapsting her body within it.
“Let me out!” Rice Cake continued to protest, “I want my inte! I want my games! I do not want to stay in this backward ce! I’d rather die! All you primitive cats! Country bumpkins! All you b*stards! Zhao Yao will never forgive you!”
Cheese could only shake his head in despair. He cocked his head skywards as he levitated, along with the giant mass of soil, towards the tallest mountain on the ind.
Halfway into their flight, the ind started to shake. The vibration grew stronger and stronger as waves emerged from the sea and crashed into one another.
Cheese stared at this scene in disbelief. Instantly, he turned his head towards Kimchi and asked, “Are you doing this?”
“I’m not. I’m only capable of changing the weather. I cannot create a tsunami or an earthquake!” Kimchi too looked confused as he replied, “Maybe it’s just a coincidence?”
However, the vibration ended as abruptly as it started. Hence, Cheese and Kimchi decided to ignore it as they continued flying towards the top. The owner of this ind, Cat Sage, sat there awaiting them.
