Pax eximed, "It seems like we''ve really met a real match this time! But that''s fine-no matter how strong he is, he won''t be defying science and logic and punching through that wall."
Feeling triumphant, he beckoned for his goons to book a ce for them to celebrate.
However, he seemed unaware that breaking open the champagne during half-time was a taboo in any sporting event.
In fact, Frank was meditating because he had found a way through.
As the enclosed space turned dead silent, Frank could hear sounds that should have been undetectable to a human''s senses.
They were below ground, so even the alloyed wall would expand or contract due to the temperatures around it. It just did not groan audibly like rebars would, and an ordinary human would not hear it.
And Frank was no ordinary human.
As he listened attentively to those sounds, he quickly realized this ce was not impregnable.
Like a ss window, Frank just tried hard to find the weakest point, pour his energy into it, and send it crumbling.
With that in mind, Frank moved to the southeast, dropped to a crouch, and punched it.
The outer concrete crumbled right away, revealing a seemingly normal alloy te that was actually struggling to stay in one piece.
Everyone in the control roomughed. "And here we thought he''s better than the others! He''s really no different, losing himself in meditation just like the others. See? He''s already lost his mind!"
On the other hand, Pax remained silent as he watched.
For some reason, he had the feeling that Frank still had a way out of this-and the look on his face was especially confident!
Nevertheless, Alda had clearly given up, in contrast to Frank''sposed demeanor.
In fact, she was clearly ready to die
net
as she groaned, "Don''t push yourself, Mr. Frankton. It''s really over for us now... And the way I see it, since there''s no hope anyway, we should save our strength for a tender moment together. No harm in dying like Romeo and Juliet."
Everyone in the control room traded nces beforeughing out loud.
To think that she was the usually high and mighty heiress of the Ingram family! Even if they could not have a taste, looking would still be highly satisfying. Some had even whipped out their phones, ready to record a video.
Pax''s two girlfriends were no better, as they could see that Frank''s looks were above the rest. It was thrilling that they would get something out of this
too.
However, Frank clearly disappointed them as he turned toward Alda and pointed at her hairpin. "What is that made of?"
"Pure gold," Alda replied as she took
it off and handed it to Frank. "Pure gold... you''re not trying to poke a hole into the hall with this, are you? Pure gold is rtively softpared to most metals, which is why people biteit-if they can leave bite marks, it would prove that it''s real gold."
"It won''t snap, but energy would just dissipate instead of conducting. Would that really work?"
Alda had an idea what Frank was up to, and focusing on a shatterpoint was indeed a solution. However, the hairpin was not a hammer-forget a wall, it would not even break tempered ss.
"You''re right." Frank shrugged. "But don''t forget that with my strength, breaking it is really easy."
Holding the pin, he tore his shirt and wrapped it around his knuckle, thenunched a straight punch at the wall!
In that split second, he managed to thrust the hairpin into the wall!
"That''s amazing!" Alda was at once surprised and delighted, stunned that Frank was that strong.
Everyone in the control room was certainly stumped that some brat could punch a hairpin into the wall.
However, it was not as if the others who were trapped here before had not tried it. They even used material tougher than pure gold, though nothing came of it.
The goons certainly doubted that Frank could use a tiny hairpin to do something the rest of them could not.
"Calm down already," Pax suddenly said, "or you''d just get another p in the face."
