On top of that, Frank was drop dead handsome.
And considering that Alda''s fiance was handsome, good at fighting, and a close friend of Jason''s, Frank was definitely the fiance in question! "Apologies, sir." The thug promptly bowed his head. "But Golden Lily is at fault here..."
Frank smirked, not about to be reasonable with mere thugs. "Really? Then you should be calling the cops. Why would you vandalize this ce instead? Moreover, I overheard you saying that you want her!"
"Fine. I can''t argue with that!" The thug threw his hands up. "But we''ll be back when you''re not around. Just you wait, Meg Quill! We''ll be back! Let''s go!"
As the thug left with hisckeys, Meg quickly told Frank, "Sorry for being a bother, Mr. Frankton."
Frank shook his head. "It''s fine. What happened here?"
Meg told him about how that geezer from earlier harassed Sadie.
"So it''s their fault in the first ce despite all that hollering." Frank turned to Jason, clearly ready to get to the root of the problem. "You know them?"
"I have no idea who they are, not gonna lie." Jason shook his head, "But I can ask someone to find out."
"Sure." Frank nodded.
That was when Kiki, the front desk receptionist, crawled out from under the counter and ran up to Frank. "Mr. Frankton? The owner just called, saying that he''ll transfer the ownership of Golden Lily to you. You can name any price, and he''ll ept it!"
"Huh?"
Both Frank and Meg werepletely confused.
What on earth was Golden Lily''s owner doing, basically giving it away to Frank? Was he trying to bail?
That should not be the case, on top of being unnecessary, since Golden Lily was a really profitable premise. However, Frank''s response was blunt. "I don''t need it."
As the saying went, nothing goodes for free—he did not believe that taking ownership of the karaoke bar did him any good. If anything, he would lose more than what he bargained for if this was a trap.

"Okay," Kiki replied-she was just the messenger and did not press the issue since Frank said no.
Still, Jason stopped Frank. "Hold on, brother. This ce is quite the money tree-I can be your guarantor if you''re short on cash."
Meg smiled beside him. "Does he look like he''s short on money, Mr. Chand? In the end, he''s just worried about falling into a trap, and he doesn''t need more money anyway."
Jason remained confused, just as Lara stepped outside, leaning on the door as she was only half-sober. "What happened?"
"Nothing," Jason replied. "Also, I''m letting you have a few days off, Ms. Gold, so that you can stay with Lugh. I''m leaving now. Meg, I''ll need a driver."
"Sure!"
Meg respectfully led Jason outside, beckoning at one of the valets to take the wheel of his Range Rover, and smiled through the window. "Pleasee again, Mr. Chand!"
Jason grinned "Coming again
notwithstanding, your priorities are still what matters here! It definitely wasn''t easy for you to hook up with my friend, and you''re not jealous that he has other women too. It''s the first time I''ve met someone as generous as you."
Meg smiled in turn. "I won''t say that I''m generous-I just have a conscience! You can tell why I want to stick with it, so I''ll definitely help him instead of keeping him to
myself.
"Moreover, your secretary is really quite something. I''d be after her too if I were gay, so it''s a shame I''m straight."
Jason chuckled in amusement, and the valet in the driver''s seat wasughing. "Ms. Quill is always so serious, but she''s worse than us boys when ites to sex jokes."
