    ckie''s face twitched ufortably at the mention of his mother, but he soon smirked. "Sorry, but I''m doing this for my mother so that she can have a better life! Selfishness makes the world go round. I''m sorry, Tidus, but it''s now time for you to die."


    With that, ckie and hisckeys trained their pistols on Tidus.


    But just as they pulled the trigger, Lizzie pushed Tidus to the ground, blocking the bullets for him with her body.


    "Lizzie!" Tidus shed a tear as he looked on.


    "It''s okay... My life is yours anyway, Tidus..." Lizzie murmured, copsing into Tidus'' arms as she bled.


    "ckie... I''ll kill you! Argh!!!"


    Something snapped in Tidus as he watched Lizzie dying right in front of him.


    Pushing away Lizzie''s body, he leapt toward ckie, which only prompted a savageugh from ckie. "Haha! You''re lucky that bumpkin''s willing to die for you, but she''s only bought you just a little time! You''ll see her again soon enough!"

    ckie did not even panic at all, even leisurely reloading his pistol.


    By the time Tidus reached him, he raised it and fired it three times at Tidus'' abdomen.

    fall despite being shot. Instead, Tidus continued toward him, and with strength that he mustered out of nowhere, Tidus chomped down on his shoulder and bit off a mouthful of flesh.


    "Argh!"


    ckie screamed and gritted his teeth as he unloaded his pistol.


    Even after he fired every bullet he had, he kept pulling the empty trigger, but Tidus never fell and was looking straight at him. "T-Tidus... Boss..."


    ckie was absolutely terrified-he did not expect Tidus to still stand after being shot over a dozen times!


    "ckie..."


    Tidus suddenly murmured even as blood spurted out of his mouth, reaching out to touch ckie''s face with his blood-soaked hand as his pupils turned unfocused. "You could''ve just told me if you wanted to be the boss... I would''ve let you... if you''d just asked.

    And with those words, Tidus slid against ckie before dropping on the ground, the blood on his palm left on ckie''s face. "Tidus... Brother..."


    As ckie stared nkly at Tidus'' corpse and then at Lizzie in the distance, he dropped his pistol on the ground with a thud before falling to his knees.
