Frank chuckled. "As for what actually happened to him, I''ll get someone to keep tabs and maybe record a video. It shouldn''t be difficult."
Drunken Moon shed a thumbs-up at him. "You''re really the best when ites to cruelty. Simply different."
They shared a smile, and soon, Jouri''s people came to take the white-haired youth away.
Later, Frank and Drunken Moon headed to a motel, as thetter received a call from a geezer who said his granddaughter was being harassed and needed help.
She had no fear with Frank at her side anyway, so she went.
As soon as they entered, they found a twentyish, slightly short bellgirl wiping the tears off her face.
Nearby, the motel manager was pointing at her and ranting, spouting plenty of expletives!
Drunken Moon naturally would not just sit by. Striding up, she pushed the manager away and snapped furiously, "What''s the meaning of this?! There''s no reason to go that far even if she messed up!"
The manager was equally furious, however, and snapped back, "Where did youe from, slut?! Talking to me like that?!"
"Screw you!"
Drunken Moon was not about to stand for that insult and sent the motel manager flying with a p, and he passed out as he fell.
"Priestess!"
The bellgirl recognized Drunken Moon just then and promptly threw herself in Drunken Moon''s arms and bawled.
Drunken Moon patted her back, asking, "What happened?"
The bellgirlined through tears, "There was a guest who got drunkst night and tried to drag me upstairs. I refused, so he beat me up. I called the cops on him, but the next day, his familyunched a smear campaign on the motel and came to make a scene."
"The manager said I was being too uptight and was going to fire me without pay!"
"That''s terrible!"
It was certainly something new to Drunken Moon.
The bellgirl had every right to call the cops, so why was the manager snapping at her instead?
On the other hand, Frank chuckled. "It''s actually quitemon. Businesses like these prefer to take
losses, though it''s the staff who ke
suffer for it while the crisis is
averted. If you don''t y along, they wift pressure you—it''s typical power abuse."
Realizing what had happened, Drunken Moon strode up and kicked the motel manager, waking her up.
"You assaulted me... You''ve really done it now! Just you wait!"
Clearly not intending to let Drunken Moon a moment to argue, the motel manager promptly turned to leave.
While Drunken Moon shrugged helplessly, Frank said, "She knows very well that she has no right-she''s now going to make us yield by force."
"Make us yield by force?" Drunken Moon was left further puzzled.
Were they crazy? If the motel management could make them yield by force, why not do that to the drunkard''s family?
Still, she soon understood as she remembered what Frank said about power abuse.
It went without saying thatpared to someone from an important family, a nobody would yield a lot more easily!
"Just let me take chargeter. Let''s see what cause the manager has!"
And with those words, Drunken Moon sat beside the girl, folding her arms and
crossing her legs in a figure four, clearly ready for trouble.
The bellgirl giggled but soon apologized meekly. "I''m sorry for bothering you, priestess. You shouldn''t have to intervene in something like this-it would ruin your reputation."
Drunken Moon smiled in wry amusement. "Reputation? I would really lose it if I can''t protect you! worry-I''d definitely make them answer for their misdeeds!"
The bellgirl smiled and nodded.
