Chapter 2737

Baldie dropped to his knees with a thud.

Not only did Frank possess superior abilities, but he had a functioning moral

He certainly deserved the power of the spiritron vein!

Baldie then said, "I guess I should warn you that there are people who keep their

hands clean. They would do anything to further their mysterious goals, so you

    should watch out."

Frank chuckled. "Don''t worry. I never hold back when I should kill-just listen to

the reverend, and leave if there''s nothing else, or I might change my mind."

At those words, Baldie turned to run without lingering another second.

Frank then turned toward the beggar. "Is this what you want?"

The beggar nodded, clearly not bothered to hide anything. "To be honest, I''ve

been considering an issue-do all the people who gain superpowers deserve it?

The dragon inside you, for example... I can''t say that it''s anything good."

Frank nodded, smiling-she was right about that, as he thought the same himself.

After all, it had done everything vile just so that its host survived eternally.

Shrugging, he said, "Don''t worry, he''s not controlling me. And while it''s evil, I can''t

say that I''m that good myself."

The beggar shook his head. "Just because it can''t control you now doesn''t mean

that it can''t in the future. The best solution for now is..."

Suddenly raising her hand, the beggar poked Frank gently between the eyes.

A radiance glowed into his head, and Frank suddenly found himself in the

darkness of the voice again and found the golden dragon roaring at the skies.

However, a palm came mming down, pinning it down before locking it up in a

cage, and the golden dragon could not move no matter how he struggled!

Even before Frank realized what was happening, he was suddenly back to reality.

Feeling the strangeness in his body and convinced the beggar knew what

happened, he asked, "What was it that I just saw?"

    The beggar smiled. "You''re

    smart-can''t you tell? I''ll be

frank-the power of the spiritron vein

is but the tip of the iceberg. It''s not

    at all omnipotent. However, thanks

to a certain reason, it stands above

the rest for the time being.

"But the dragon is really using you

so that you''d be its host forever, until

the day itpletely takes over your

body. It hid plenty of secrets from

you, but there''s nothing I can do

aside from doing my best so that

you could wield its power to the

    max."

Frank nodded silently, though he had improved further since to the point that he

could fully control the power of the spiritron vein.

That said, what gave the beggar strength?

In fact, Frank could sense that while she would not win if they fought, what was

    the deal with her powers?

That was when the beggar smiled.

"You''re wondering about who I am,

    aren''t you? Don''t worry about it-I''m

just an envoy. When the true power

descends upon us, you''ll be the first

to receive it, because it is

    predestined."

And with those words, the beggar flew away, but Frank promptly chased after her.

To be honest, he was really reluctant to tangle with people who like pop quizzes-

they only ever spoke in half-sentences just to appear more mysterious, even

when they really had nothing going for them.

And it certainly caused plenty of trouble for others!

Seeing Frank chasing her down, the beggar said, "I really can''t borate. You

know about the group already, don''t you? Go and deal with them-use your

wisdom to see through everything and solve the riddle."
