Chapter 2700

Fortunately for the rescue leader, the chief ranger was not nning on killing him.

Catching the rescue leader at thest possible moment, the chief ranger smirked. "Run your mouth again, and I''ll really let you fly."

It worked this time, as the rescue leader was hysterical and yelling through tears, "This is harassment! This isn''t over yet!"

The chief ranger snorted. "This isn''t over yet, you say? But you see, I could kill you, and one wouldn''t even bat an eye!"

The rescue leader shook his head, ughing. "No chance! Blood calls for blood! It''s a tale as old as time!"

The chief ranger sneered. "True, but evidence matters these days! Do you think I''m capable ofunching another adult man into the air? Hell, even if I did it in full view of the public, I know for sure that I can escape unscathed."

The rescue leader was left speechless-that much was true.

Forget anyone else. The rescue leader himself had personally experienced how it felt to be thrown up into the skies, but even he knew he would be skeptical.

Moreover, when he met the chief ranger before this, the man was not that strong! "H-How did you do it?!"

The chief ranger shrugged. "Obviously, the god of this mountain granted me strength and told me that he''s angry because you keep screwing around. He''ll show up at your doorstep to kill you soon-and it''s going to be ugly, so just sit tight and wait."

The rescue leader was not superstitious before, but he soon remembered all the strange things happening right in front of his eyes.

He really could not doubt it at this point.

And now, the very sight of the towering mountain behind the chief ranger looked to the rescue leader like it was going to consume him.

Terror seized him, and he kept screaming endlessly while kowtowing to the mountain endlessly.

The chief rangerughed, as the rescue leader going mad was even better.

In fact, that was the best thing that could happen to people like him.

If Frank had not been around, the tourists and the other rangers would have died due to the rescue leader''s ipetence.

Meanwhile, the journalists camping at the safe zone were flocking to the survivors who just arrived, asking about the situation.

While one of them told them what they saw, they appeared stunned. "For real?!"

The man nodded repeatedly, but it went without saying that the journalists did not believe them.

Eventually, they sought out the chief ranger and asked for an interview.

Concerned that publicity might be a

bother to Frank, the chief ranger

said, "That isn''t true. I''m sure

everyone is still in shock after a

    natural disaster and even

hallucinating, so don''t take everything that''s been said at face value."

The journalists had to agree, just as another journalist came up. "What''s your opinion on the rescue effort? Surely the recovery of victims could have been quicker, but that''s not the case. Perhaps it had been a while, and everyone had gone rusty?" Cóntent

The chief ranger certainly had not. Not only could he deal with natural disasters efficiently, but he could deal with people too, including this journalist, who was clearly harassing him.

"I won''t lie this was a show of ipetence," he said. "But it wasn''t the fault of the rescue volunteers or the rangers. It was that man who was giving terrible orders.

"But since he outranks everyone, we had no choice but to work as he ordered since he''s the boss."

As the chief ranger gestured at the now insane rescue leader, all the journalists eagerly turned their crosshairs on the rescue leader.

Ipetence leading to arger mishap wasmon, but it was the first time they had seen a crazed man standing on top of the chain ofmand.

A journalist then asked, "Does that mean that the rangers are responsible too?"

The chief ranger really did not want to say that, but the problem was that the rescue leader made a huge mistake with human resource

allocation. "Yes, that''s what I mean. But must insist again that no one bothers them. They are heroes. Thank you for your time!"

The journalists were overjoyed, as that was exactly what they wanted to hear.
