Chapter 2629

Janice smiled. "You''re way more ruthless than I am!"

She then inadvertently noticed the thing Frank had in his pocket and recognized

    it!

"Is that the legendary lunarise root?" she eximed. "I''m surprised that there''s something this good!"

"You recognize that?" Frank asked, curious.

Janice nodded. "To be honest, my family made a fortune in medicine, and I was taught Draconian traditional medicine since I was a child. While I haven''t actually seen a treasure like this, I know about it since my family told me about it.

"I know that it''s highly valuable as a medicinal ingredient, so you probably have no use for the whole herb. How about just a chunk? State a price, and I promise I won''t even bargain!"

However, Frank shook his head, leaving her disappointed.

Still, he said, "I can share it with you, but I won''t charge you for it because I don''t need the money!"

"N-No way!" Janice eximed, whipping out her phone and ready to wire him money.

The chief ranger read Frank''s mind and reasoned, "Your family''s rich, but does he look like he''s short on money? With such power, would he have trouble finding a fortune at all?

"At this point, money must be mere attachment to him!"

Janice ignored him and studied Frank but actually did find his disdain for money.

While she had heard of people who actually did not care for money, people like Frank who actually scorned it were a rarity.

Still, it was understandable-like the chief ranger had put it, Frank would not have to worry about making money, so he was nonchnt either way.

Nodding, Janice said, "Okay, then let''s consider this the start of our friendship. I happen to have time on my hands, so let''s go to the hospital together, so I can at least show my sincerity."

Then, she did not forget to add, "I could also watch him being sent to the ICU, so I''m not going out of my way."

One of her friends quickly said, "Can''t say I like the idea. We should return to campus right now, or our studies would be affected."

Her other friend chuckled. "Aren''t we ssmates? Her family is on the school board too—something like that is trifling. Just leave her be."

"True." The friend chuckled, nodding. "Sorry, I forgot after that near-death encounter!"

    Everyoneughed.

Soon, they reached the hospital, though Frank was not bothered about the boy with the gun and went straight to Faust Chomsky''s ward.

Zark Chomsky had bought the medicine needed, so Frank went outside with him, finding a clear spot and starting a fire.

The medicinal strength of Draconian traditional medicine was directly connected to their scent—the more pungent it was, the stronger it was.

As such, it soon drew the attention of a patrolling security guard who strode up. "Excuse me, but what are you doing here?"

Zark smiled at him. "Cooking medicine!"

The security nodded. "Well, effect aside, it''s good to find sce. But starting a fire in hospital grounds..."

He only worked here, and he was insightful enough to see that both men were more than what they seemed, which was why he did not mind speaking reasonably

Zark smiled in exasperation at Frank, concerned that he would get petty.

However, he proved paranoid as Frank did not hesitate to move the fire and cauldron in its entirety, not forgetting to apologize as well!

It was quite simple-the security guard had a responsibility and was even polite about it, so it would be uneptable if Frank harassed him instead.

    That left Zark in disbelief.

So, was this the pride of the strong? It was like those legendarybat monks who were happy with cleaning the chapel without being dismissive of others despite their might.
