Chapter 19: Special delivery


    When I returned to the office, my boss called me. The first thought was that one of the clients told him


    about us and what we were doing. I was terribly scared and began to worry about this.


    “This is it. Now I’ll be fired from work and perhaps they will shame me. Why did I follow their lead?” I


    thought on the way to my boss''s office. Damn inability to say ‘No!’


    Approaching the door, I knocked softly.


    “Come in.” I heard a confident male voice from the other side of the door.


    “May I?” Timidly, I asked, opening the door. And my heart was beating so hard that it seemed to jump


    out of my chest now.


    “Yes of course. And it''s you. Come on in.” Smiling, said my boss when he saw me.


    “Well, if he smiles, then it''s not so bad.” I thought happily and entered the office. The heart in my chest


    began to calm down slowly.


    “You know, recently, good reviews have begun toe in rtion to our agency. Customers give


    especially good reviews when they talk about you, and everyone demands that you make the delivery.”


    Said the chief still with a smile.


    “I don’t know what and how you do it, but you’re just smart. People like you, and that''s the most


    important thing. This ys into our hands, because we are increasing the volume of work, and,


    ordingly, the profit.” He continued.


    From this monologue, Ipletely calmed down and stood smiling silently. Now I calmly listened to my

    “I would like to thank you for your work and also say that from today your sry will be significantly


    increased.” He said in a semi-formal tone.


    “Thank you.” I could only say. Wow, the money was sticking to me now, although I did not specifically

    It was a bit windy that day and I was wearing skinny jeans, a tight-fitting T-shirt, and light white


    sneakers with high tforms. I got on the bus and got to the bus stop next to where the client lived. It


    was a cottagemunity with beautiful houses.


    Having found the house I was looking for, I went to the iron gate and rang the bell. A pleasant male


    voice inquired about the purpose of my visit through the inte, which was located near the door. I
