Chapter 6


    Blue eyes haunt my dreams , sleep doesn''te easy. Every time I close my eyes I see him , I feel


    him touch me. Every time I hear a sound outside of my window my heart races and my muscles clench.


    I''m living in fear that any day now he''s going toe racing back. I haven''t seen him since I ended


    things, it''s been a whole week. I feel like he''s taunting me, waiting for me to crack. I can''t focus on


    anything, not on school not Damien. Damien confuses me most of all. I don''t understand what we are.


    We haven''t kissed since the night Ty hurt him, I''m too scared to get close to him like that. I keep


    thinking Ty''s hiding out in the bushes somewhere stalking me , waiting for me to put my guard down so


    he can strike. Like he''s the wolf and I''m his pathetic little prey.


    "Miss Walters." The stern voice of my science teacher pulls me out of my thoughts. His thin lips turn


    down at the corners, his bushy eyebrows scrunched together. I stare at him nkly having no idea


    what was going on in ss. I''ve been sitting here the whole time , mind racing. Thinking about


    everything but biology. "We were just talking about the reproductive system , do you have anything to


    add to our discussion Miss.Walters." I bite my lip as I attempt toe up with an answer.


    "Uh..abstinence is key?" Everyone erupts intoughter , my face grows hot.


    "Principals office miss Walters, I won''t have that kind of behaviour in my ss." I grab my things , step


    down from the high bar stools at the table and stalk off out of the ssroom with my books held tight


    against my chest.


    The principals office is rather small. The desk is covered with papers, aputer and a name te. He


    has shelves that stand tall behind the desk covered in certificates and awards. The only thing I''d like


    about having this office is the window just beside the bookshelf with a great view. Trees and the back


    field, it would be nice to sit there and think between sses. The sound of the door opening and


    closing brings me back to reality and principal Montgomeryes into full view and sits down behind


    his desk. His fat belly causing him to have to move back so that he can fit between his desk and he


    chair. He sits down with a huff of breath and getsfortable. It''s silent for a moment as he sorts his

    "So Miss.Walters, your Bio teacher Mr.Finley says you were being disruptive in his ss and not paying


    attention."


    "That is true but I have a lot going on right now and I didn''t mean to be disruptive." Mr.Montgomery


    nods keeping hold of his grim expression and bends down to search through his drawers.


    "Well I still have to punish you so, detention tomorrow during your free period." I frown , I was


    supposed to go for ice cream tomorrow with Damien at that time. I''m sure he''ll understand. "Thank you


    Miss.Walters you may go back to ss now. Library tomorrow during your free period." I nod and stalk


    out of his office feeling disappointed. I guess Our first official date will have to wait.

    Damien POV


    Feeling disappointed I trudge home, I should be with Ashley enjoy arge scoop of cookies and cream


    by instead I''m walking home to spend a nice afternoon with my mom. I''m notining I love my


    mom dearly but I was so looking forward to my first official date with Ashley. I''ve been waiting so long,


    and despite everything with her abusive ex I was finally getting somewhere with her. She''s beautiful


    and the minute Iid eyes on her I wanted to be a part of her life anyway I could.


    I walk up the sidewalk towards my house and something feels off, there''s a car in the driveway I don''t


    recognize. I walk inside the house and hear an unfamiliar male voice talking with my mother in the


    kitchen. As I step into the room I notice my motherughing and Ty sitting across from her. Ty sitting in


    my house with my mother.


    "What are you doing here."


    "Damien hunny you''re home , this is.."


    "I know who he is, why is he here." I stare at him, my blood feels like it''s boiling as I get angrier and


    angrier.


    "Oh well Ty came over to talk about you actually hunny, he said that you guys are doing a project


    together in school and that you guys had ns to work on it today. I look over at a smirking Ty and my


    fist clenches at my side. He really knows what he''s doing, he knows I can''t say anything about Ashley


    because she doesn''t want anyone knowing and I respect her. This is such bullshit, he can just push


    both of us around however he wants.


    "Well Damien we better get working on our project."


    "How about we work on it another time , I''ll walk you out." He nods and gets up but before following me


    down the hall he turns to my


    Mother.


    "It was wonderful to meet you Miss.Edson , you have a lovely home." My mother smiles and gives him


    a hug before saying goodbye. I turn and stalk out of the house trying not to m the door. Once outside


    he turns and grins at me.


    "It was so easy to flirt my way into your house , your mommy dearest is a very beautiful woman."


    "You touch her ever again and I swear to god."


    "Swear what, you''ll hurt me. Kill me?" He walks forward his face inches from mine, he''s so close I feel


    his breath against my face. "You''ve got nothing in me , I''m stronger then you and I think I proved that


    the other night. You can''t fuck with me little boy." I back up and he grins victoriously. He turns and walks


    towards his car getting in and speeding off. I walk into the house ignoring my mothers calls, up the


    stairs and to my bedroom. Before I even think my fist is mming through the wall of my bedroom , the


    pain erupts through my hand and up my arm. I clutch my hand against my chests.


    "Fuck, this is gonna be hard to hide from Ash."
