    Louis left the statement iplete so that Skr would fill the gap in her head. He kissed her lips before going out of the house.


    As soon as she heard the sound of the door, Skr threw her head straight on the table. She let out a sigh of relief. A pool of tears apanied the sigh.


    She bit her lips to stop herself from crying loudly. Especially when the guards are watching her keenly.


    “Ma’am your tutor is here.” Helen’s voice made her raise her head abruptly. She nced in Helen’s direction.


    Steven’s head popped out from behind Helen, and he waved at her. “Hello, Skr.”


    Skr wiped her tears. She got up and excused herself. “I’ll be right back.”


    Skr tried to run her way up the stairs, but she couldn’t. Her legs hurt so much. She could barely move them. Biting her lips, she took the steps slowly as she went up the stairs. She threw herself on the bed and cried her heart out.


    Her body was in pain. Her pride was broken. Likewise, her dignity was shattered, and her heart feels squashed.

    Skr took her time weeping. She hadpletely forgotten that Steven was waiting. Helen came up to remind her.

    After walking a step away from Helen, she remembered that Louis has been having unprotected intercourse with her.


    What if she gets pregnant?


    “No. I mustn’t!” Skr shook her head.


    She is too young to be pregnant. Especially not for a monster like Louis. She would never give birth to his child


    “Helen, can I ask for a favor?” Skr bit her lips in exasperation.


    “Tell me, ma’am,” Helen became attentive. She knew something was wrong with Skr, but she couldn’t dare to inquire, for fear of being caught by Louis.


    Skr nced around to be sure that there was no one around or some hidden cameras. Louis can go to any length just to watch her. She wouldn’t be surprised if he has some cameras hidden somewhere in the room.


    “Can you get some contraceptives?” She finally asked.


    “Huh?” Helen was stunned. She wasn’t expecting Skr to ask such a favor of her.


    “I need it.” Skr’s voice cracked. She bit her lips and tried to hide the desperation in her tone.


    “Uhm… I don’t think that’s a good idea. The boss won’t like that.” Helen strongly advised. She pursed her lips and tried to haul back the tears at the brink of her eyes.


    Skr doesn’t care if Louis liked it or not. She mustn’t get pregnant. If that happens, she won’t be getting her freedom if she does.


    “Please,” Skr beseech.


    “The boss….”


    “He won’t find out!” Skr shouted before Helen could state her reason for refusal.


    “Still ma’am, he will be mad if he finds out.” Helen shook her head as she politely declined.


    “It’s okay,” Skr pursed her lips and nodded bitterly.

    Skr went out of the room to attend the day’s ss. Taking her steps slowly to hide her sloppy walks, Skr descended the stairs rather sluggishly.


    “Wee,” Steven smiled seeing her again. He was worried earlier when she left with so much mncholy sitting on her beautiful face.


    Her eyes were swollen and bloodshot, a perfect description of someone who just cried a river.


    “Thank you.” Skr tried to smile, but the pain in her heart was so much that it killed every joy before it reaches her eyes.


    “Ready for today’s ss?” Steven asked as he put out his hand to help here down thest stairs.


    “Yes, I am,” Skr replied with an appreciative smile.


    Judging from the fact that Steven was able to read her even on his first day, Skr wasn’t the least surprised to see him offer his hand. She knew he must notice her sloppy steps.


    Did he know the reason why her steps have been altered?


    Skr took his hand and offered a smile. With her hand still in his, she moved towards the small space set aside for her sses, she was about to sit but was pulled by Steven.


    “No ma’am, we won’t be having today’s ss here.”


    “Huh?” Skr met Steven’s yful smile. His eyes stared deeply into hers. Skr looked away from him and tried to wriggle out of his hold, but Steven held tightly to her as if he was afraid of losing her.


    “Where are we having today’s ss and why?”


    Steven studied her. From her swollen lips to her sloppy walk and the neatly hidden Hickey around her neck. He could tell that she wasn’t displeased, her swollen, bloodshot eyes tell the tale of how much she’s cried.


    “How far did that bastard go anyway? Steven cursed Louis in his thoughts.


    He knew that she wouldn’t appreciate any word offort. Especially not from him, so instead of words he decided to take her out.


    “We’ll be going out for today’s ss and the reason is to show you how outdoor experiences contribute to making you a good wife for your husband.”


    At the word husband, Skr clenched her fist beside her. She hated the word. Besides, Louis wasn’t her husband, he never acted like one. Instead, he treated her like a toy; purchased only for his sexual pleasure.

    He knew that she will feel better once she steps out.


    “I should call Louis and inform him.” Skr tried to move, but Steven wouldn’t let go. Skr turned to look at his hand. She opened her mouth to speak, but Steven best her to it.


    “You don’t have to inform him,” He shook his head. He thinned his lips and raised his brow as if asking her to trust him.


    “Louis has asked the guards to keep me in. They won’t let me go out.” Skr whispered.


    “Not if they don’t know it’s you.” Steven shrugged.


    Skr to think about it. She wanted to go out. She wanted to see the city, but Louis already ordered the guards to keep her in. Especially after the phone call she made to Raymond the other day.


    She pursed her lips as she thought of what to do. Though she was afraid of getting punished if Louis found out about this, the idea sounded good, too good to let go.


    Besides, Louis punishes for just anything. Even when she did nothing wrong, she got punished nheless.


    Skr was curious about what the world outside looked like. She wanted to fly like a bird, but she got caged like a canary.


    This wasn’t the life she wanted, and she couldn’t wait to escape, but before then she will live life the way she should. Hopefully, Louis wouldn’t find out and if he does, then she’ll dly ept his punishment.


    “So?” Steven nudged her, pulling her out of her reverie.


    “I’ll go.”


    Steven was pleased with himself. He was happy to see that the barriers built around her, we’re slowlying off. He smiled and blinked his eyes again, pretending as if he didn’t what she said before.


    “Are you sure?”


    Steven wanted the response toe from her heart. Lest she regrets if things turn out wrong.


    The offer sounded good, and the adventure is definitely worth any punishment she would get from Louis. Skr nodded and smiled as she took Steven’s hand.


    “Let’s do this.”
