    The smell of the bleach was overwhelming. I scrunched my eyes at the bright light that was sipping through my closed eyelids. I felt powerless and heavy. I could not move my hands, my head, or my body. I could hear the low whispering of people in the room. I slowly started blinking, desperately trying to open my eyes to what’s around me.


    “What’s is happening to her, get the doctor Sophia” I could hear the voice said.


    Where am I? the blinking light slowly subsided, I could take a look around my surroundings. I was at the hospital.


    I couldn’t remember how I got here but I know for sure that’s someone had bought me here. I whispered the first name thates to my mouth. “Dn”

    A doctor walked to me and began to check every part of my body, the eyes, tongue, head.


    “She seems fine, no sign of amnesia. Her vitals and organs are in good shape.” the doctor announced to my mother and Sophia.


    “When would she be discharged. Sophia asked the doctor.


    “When she is fully recovered.” the doctor replied and walked out of the ward.

    she hugged me and sobbed lightly.


    I chuckled at her drama, it was not as if I died or something. “How long was I dead?”


    “Three weeks” she replied sadly. I wonder why she sounded so sad. It is not as if I didn’t wake up.

    “Calm down Amelia, you just woke up. The doctor said we should wait before we break the news to you.”

    My mother cleared her throat and ced a hand on my legs. “Darling, don’t worry about that. You are awake and you need rest.”

    My baby was also gone. I ced a hand on my stomach and bit my lips to stop the tears that we’re sweetening to fall. I couldn’t cry in front of Sophia and mother her but I couldn’t control the tears. “Can you please let me rest for some minutes? my b? by’s death is a lot to take in and I want to be alone right now.” I know I shouldn’t be saying that to people that had to be beside me since I got into the ident but I just couldn’t control the tears.

    Sophia stood up from where she sat and ced a kiss on my forehead. “Call our names if you need anything,” she said and walked to the door. As she reached the door she stopped and said some words that bought a smile to my lips. “Dn didn’t get married to Anna and he hasn’t been alright ever since he learned you got into an ident” she informed and walked out.


    I held my stomach and cried at what she just said. Dn didn’t get married but does that mean he cared and he only did that because I got into an ident. I cried for my baby. I cried because she/he didn’t get toe to this world. I didn’t get to hold my baby. If I hadn’te out that day maybe, my baby would be alive. It’s all my fault but we can’t our fate or can we?

    That evening, my room was filled with lots of people. My mother, Sophia, baby Lucas, Larry, Diana, and Tyler were all present in the room.

    Sophia ced a hand on my shoulders and I knew she could read my expression. I gave her a smile stating that I was fine. we talked about few things that made meughed and I knew they were trying to make me happy.


    Someone knocked and we all turned to look at who knocked. My heart beat fast at the sight of the person at the entrance. He looks different, his beards had grown and it gave him a manly look although he looked like a mess.


    “What’s the fuck are you doing here?”Larry’s angry voice broke me out of my imagination.

    “I don’t care about your stupid exnation Dn, go away! “Larry shouted. Sophia grabbed his hand and pulled him outside the room.


    “We’ll just take Lucas and leave, “Diana said as she carried Lucas from me. She and Tyler both walked out of the room with baby Lucas.


    My mother hugged me and whispered some words to me. “Be strong baby” she said some words I couldn’t hear to? Dn as she walked out.

    “Hey” I replied. We both stared at each other for few seconds before we decided to break the silence.

    Dn wept beside him, I pat him on the back to console him. I was hurting just as much as he was hurting.


    “I’ll wait for you Amelia even if it takes years” he stated, I tried to object but he grabbed my hand and continue talking. “I love you and I’m willing to wait for you until you figure yourself out. And Anna, she had moved on.”


    I couldn’t say anything after that and when he kissed me on the lips, I knew it was a goodbye kiss for now. We had to find ourselves and I don’t know how long it was going to take for me to heal but I’ll hope one day Dn and I would be together.


    “I’ll be waiting” his voice kept resounding in my head even after he had left.
