CHAPTER 24


    I couldn''t even call Salma to tell her about the fact that I wouldn''t be able toe anymore. I was very


    confused as to why Ridwan was even doing all this.


    I decided to read a book for the rest of the day anyway since I wasn''t going to be able to go


    anywhere.


    I slept off on the couch and hadn''t realized when Ridwan opened the door but then I heard footsteps


    and woke up from my sleep. I was a really light sleeper and got distracted easily by things.


    "you''re back" I said, then walked towards where he was by the stairs.


    "I really don''t understand why you''re doing all this Ridwan, I am not a child, you know. I am old


    enough to make my own decisions and because you''re my husband doesn''t give you a right to treat me


    this way" I said


    "Everything I am doing is for your safety and you will one day thank me for it" Ridwan said then


    walked up the stairs and I just watched him go. I didn''t want to fight or argue with him but he just


    always found a way to get us in such situations. My head was also banging and I had even thrown up a


    part of the food I had eaten today. So i really didn''t have the strength to argue. I just wanted to sleep. I


    went up the stairs, Ridwan was still in the bathroom having a shower. I got into bed and pulled a duvet


    over myself.


    I woke up several times in the middle of the night to throw up and Ridwan had also woken up all


    those times. He was concerned about what was going on  and I also had a little fever.


    "Are you better now" Ridwan asked as he walked me back from the bathroom where I had  gone to


    vomit again.


    "I don''t know, I just want toy on the bed" I said andyed on the bed and I closed my eye as I went


    to sleep back and Ridwan watched me sleep.


    When I woke up the next morning, Ridwan had gotten a doctor home and I was feeling kinda better


    too anyways but not my normal self.


    The doctor said he was going to take my blood for sampling and was going to get the result across


    and also tell if I will be needing any medication but for now he rmends rest.


    "Are you sure you''re better" Ridwan asked for the 100th time after the doctor had gone.


    "Yes I am, really" I said


    "Salma''s wedding, how is the preparation for it" I asked


    "Good"


    "I can''t wait for the day" I said


    "Are you sure you need to, you should rest though" Ridwan said trying to convince me.


    "I said I am fine really  and when the testse back. I am sure it''s nothing serious" I said

    "I just want you to be fine, you should rest. Is there anything you need at all. What would you eat


    too?" Ridwan asked


    "I am fine, I will like to take rice" I said


    "Alright, I can order in something" Ridwan said. I just want to call the office to tell them I won''t be


    "You really can go to work, I will be fine"


    "There is no one to watch over you" he said


    "Ayo is here though" I said


    "I want to be here to, there is nothing much to do at work anyways" Ridwan said


    "Alright then" I agreed.
