Asher drove back to Vanessa’s house. Her tears were not ending. The sadness they felt was too much. Asher knew making that payment would end all this. He tried to console her but it was not helping. Trey had broken down. He called his sister to inform her of the message he got. She couldn’t talk but she texted him back and confirmed she got it too.

    Andre had kidnapped Lance using his friend. Andre made Lance’s friend, James , lure Lance to his house so then Andre attacks and kidnaps him. He promised to give James five thousand dors but what James got instead was a bullet to his head and chest. He really did trust Andre. Who trusts the devil?.


    Andre had Lance tied up and beaten up. This was ording to the contract they signed.

    Selma received a message on her phone again,


    “Hey, I see that you have found a new love. Your younger brother ( added aughing emoji) . One hundred and fifty thousand dors up for you if you tell me what time Asher ising with the cash. This is mouth watering. I know you can’t reject it. I also promise to give you your job back. I am awaiting your reply”.


    It was Andre that texted her. She thought about it and for the second time someone trusts the devil. She made up her mind to do as Andre asked.

    Asher ced a call to Andre,

    “I am not your son. Do not punish or hurt the old man. I aming with the money tomorrow morning by eight.”, Asher answered.


    “Suit yourself, just get here before he is dead and pray you also make it here”, Andre said before ending the call. Asher had just given him the information he needed just before the next day. He does not need Selma again.

    Running on a low battery, Selma was already replying to Andre’s text. She typed “DEAL” , but her phone went off and so she couldn’t send the message. She agreed to stay back tonight but there was no charger for her phone. She would just sleep early.


    “Hey my charger will work with your phone”, Trey said. He picked her phone up and plugged the charger in. She went to the bathroom to wash her face and take a dump. While in the bathroom, she thought to herself “Trusting Andre would not be a good thing and I really don’t want to break Vanesaa twice or even break Trey at all”. She nned she was not going to give Andre any information. Her phone rang and Trey went for it since she was not there, it was Andre that called. He was confused and bothered so he unlocked and yes he saw the text. It was saved in Drafts written as “DEAL”, he read the message Andre had sent earlier and shouted in anger. He was very angry. He showed Vanessa and Asher. Vanessa started crying because she knew Selma was not to be trusted. Selma heard the noises and hurried up. As she got to the sitting room where they were all gathered, Vanessa threw a p to her cheek.


    “I never trusted you. I knew you were a B*TCH!. I hate you so much”, Vanessa said yelling right at Selma’s face.


    “I thought you loved me and wanted the best for me. You have been a criminal here all along. I saw your text with Andre, you both are nning on killing Asher. It won’t work”, Trey said in anger.


    “I, I can exin”, Selma said, crying so much already. There was really no excuse that would convince them she had changed her mind.


    “Take this and leave!. I don’t want to ever see you again”, Trey said, handing her all her possessions – her bag, car keys and phone. She took them and went for the door. She was hurt and scattered inside. She left and couldn’t even believe what had happened. Trey was sad and disturbed but he was pleading with his sister, he was disobedient and did not listen to her when she warned him.


    “It’s fine. She is not just someone humans trust”, Vanessa said.

    It was the next morning, Asher decided to go an hourter than he originally nned. He texted Vanessa he was going there by nine that morning. She sent him a prayer text and made him promise he would be fine. There was arge safe in Mr. Lorenzo’s house. Asher informed him of everything and without hesitation, he allowed Asher to pick money from the safe and clear up the debt.


    It was forty seven minutes past eight in the morning, Asher was already close to Andre’s house. He had some backup, his father’s soldiers and some policemen.

    Andre was waiting for him at the gate of his house. By three minutes past nine that morning, Asher got to the house. He was surrounded by the policemen and soldiers.


    “Like i said, you are a coward!”Andre saidughing.


    “Count this money”, he ordered one of his soldiers.


    A few minutester, the soldier informed Andre that the money wasplete.


    “Where is the man?”, Asher asked.


    “You won’t be able to see him”, that was all Andre said before Asher fell t to the floor. A bullet just ran through his head.

    Andre had already taken to his heels and the money with the soldier running behind him. There was an exchange of fire. Andre ordered his soldiers to attack the policemen. Selma was in the car at a particr corner, she was the driver. She is helping Andre escape. Andre got into the car and she immediately zoomed off. The old man had already been taken and locked up at Selma’s house.

    “How do we break this to Mr Lorenzo?”, a soldier asked after the gunfire had stopped.


    “We lost a lot of us. He would understand it was a war”, they concluded.

    “No!!!!!”, Vanessa screamed out loud as she started to drop tears from her eyes.
