Chapter 12 Good Job


    Isobel had never been a person who could take temporary setbacks, not to mention that she was being


    protected by Hamish for three years. It would be fine if she did not blow her top but if she did, nobody


    could stop her.


    Martha, Kit and her boss were all involved in the matterst night.


    “Isobel, d to see you here, Mr. William is looking for you since early morning.”


    Knowing that it was a kind reminder from her colleague, Isobel nodded, “I’ll go to see him.”


    “You…”


    The colleague wanted to say something else but Isobel directly headed to the office.


    “Anna, is Mr. William busy now?”


    Anna had been looking for her all morning. When she saw Isobel now, she was finally relieved, “Oh


    dear, where did you go just now? We’ve been looking for you everywhere and when Mr. William came


    back, he boiled with rage and said that he wanted to see you! Quickly go in, if you’rete, Mr. William


    may be even more furious.”


    “Thank you for telling me this.”


    Finished speaking, Isobel directly knocked on the door and entered the office.


    Upon seeing her, Mr. William’s face turned to the colour of moltenva, “Where did you go early in the


    morning? Isobel, are you sure you’re here to work?”


    “I’m here to work but I’m not here to prostitute myself. This is my resignation letter, I’ll hand over the


    tasks nicely within a week.” As she said, she looked at her boss’s face which had turned blue. She


    could not help butugh, “Of course, I know Mr. William may not approve it so easily, but I would like to


    mention that you should look at the news to see who I was withst night. If you think you can’t afford


    to offend the Steward family but can afford to offend the George family, then you can choose to


    disapprove it.”


    After saying that, she directly turned and left the office.


    What Eduard said was right. They had known each other for so long so it was better not to waste the


    chance. Since the gossips about them were discussed everywhere, then it would be okay for her to


    make use of them.


    As soon as Isobel’s words were uttered, Mr. William’s face turned pale and blue. He originally thought


    that after Isobel was no longer with Hamish, she would have no one to protect her and he would be


    able to deal with her easily. But unexpectedly, Eduard became her backer.


    He certainly could not afford to offend the George family so even if he wanted to disapprove Isobel’s


    resignation, he also dared not.


    He originally doubted the truthfulness of Isobel’s words as she had only broken up with Hamish for a


    short time after all. It was not likely for her to suddenly hook up with Eduard.


    But surprisingly, in the evening, Eduard’s car was parked directly and openly in front of the building.


    Isobel did not expect that Eduard woulde to find her. Therefore, when she saw him send a


    message saying that he was downstairs, she was shocked.


    A lot of projects were handled by her. It was pretty difficult to hand them over within a short time. But if


    Eduard did not help herst night, she would have be Kit’s prey.


    Looking at the vast amounts of pending tasks disyed on theputer screen, she simply made a


    copy, switched off theputer and went downstairs.


    Eduard’s car was too eye-catching. Isobel could see his blue Ferrari the moment she came downstairs.


    She was a bit amused, “Why did you change your car today?”


    “If I don’t change the car, how is it able to match our poprity today!”


    Isobel froze for a moment. Thinking of the pictures that had been shared widely in the moments, she


    curled into a smile, “What you say sounds right.”

    Eduard raised his eyebrows andughed, “To let you go back to the game and turn the table around.”


    Isobel could not help butugh, “Actually, I don’t really care.”

    Isobel was hungry so she did not refuse.


    However, being in such a big city like N City, they never expected that they could meet people that they


    rarely met before. But these few days, they met that person everywhere.


    This time, Martha came with friends for dinner. When she saw Isobel and Eduard, she disyed an


    expression that made Isobel very annoyed.


    “What a coincidence, Eduard, Isobel. When I woke up today and looked at the moments, I thought it


    was fake but I didn’t expect that you guys were really in a rtionship! Congrattions then!”


    Isobel was just about to speak but Eduard, who was on the side, spoke before her, “Thanks. Isobel is


    famished, let us end the conversation.”


    Martha smiled, “Eduard is really eligible to be considered as the young master of the George family.”


    As she said, she smiled meaningfully. When they passed by, she took a picture and posted it on the


    moments.


    When Isobel just sat down, she saw a screenshot sent by Yasmin via message. Isobel just replied with


    ellipsis. Before she sent any other messages, Yasmin sent her two words, which were ‘Good job!’.
