Chapter 2 It Would Lead to Trouble


    Hamish wasn’t a very generous person, but he wasn’t a stingy person either.


    They were together for 3 years and he gave her many expensive gifts. Now that their rtionship


    ended, Isobel didn’t know what to do with the gifts.


    She then met Yasmin Williams when she was fretting over the issue. She was the girlfriend of Freddie


    Kennedy, Hamish’s best friend.


    Yasmin was a famous purchasing agent on social media. Isobel never opened or used the gifts from


    Hamish, she would tear open the wrapping slightly and nce at it, and then she would put it away.


    The branded handbags and jewellery were all as good as new.


    Isobel asked for Yasmin’s help directly and promised to give her 10% of the revenue from the sale.


    Yasmin did the calction in her mind and the 10% would be at least 4-5 hundred thousand. She was


    really excited on the inside even though it wasn’t showing on her face, “Isobel, you are being a


    stranger. We are friends, and we should help each other when in need. There’s no need to talk about


    giving revenue or whatnot.”


    Isobel smiled, “Indeed we are friends, but I can’t just make you help me without giving you anything in


    return. I’ll be bothering you with this for a while. I’ll pack the stuff and bring them to you in two days.”


    Yasmin didn’t refuse the offer. They agreed on a time and went their own way.


    Two dayster, Yasmin brought Freddie with her as her mule. She expected Isobel to have a lot of


    stuff, but she was still shocked and a bit envious when she saw 3 big boxes filled with luxurious goods.


    “There’s so many of it, aren’t you going to leave some for yourself?”


    Isobel shook her head, “No.”


    These never belonged to her, the joke would be on her if she kept these for herself.


    “Freddie,e quick and get these boxes onto the car! My fans are already waiting for me to go live


    eagerly!” Yasmin smacked Freddie on the back, he looked back and red at her, “Be gentler! Treat


    me more lovingly! Do your fans know that you are a woman with monstrous strength? Look at Isobel,


    she is so gentle and nice, learn from her a bit! Even a cold person like Hamish…” Freddie realized that


    he stepped on andmine and stopped talking halfway. He nced at Isobel, but the expression on her


    face didn’t change at all. She noticed him looking his way and she said, “Thank you for your help, Mr.


    Kennedy.”


    Freddie had aplicated look on his face as he glimpsed at Isobel. He thought that Isobel would be


    sad about Hamish’s engagement, or at least a bit dejected.


    But looking at her smiling, he couldn’t see a hint of sadness in her.


    Freddie didn’t know if he should feel sorry for his best friend or feel happy for Isobel for being so clear-


    headed about the matter.


    Yasmin was live streaming on her phone. Her fans were going crazy and she showed it to Isobel, “Look

    I’ll work for you for free!”


    Isobel looked at thement section in the live stream and frowned slightly, “Unfortunately this would


    be thest time for something like this.”


    Yasmin realized that she said something wrong, she tried tough it off, “True, true.”


    Freddie quickly moved the boxes onto the car. Yasmin was getting urged impatiently by her fans and


    hence she left hastily after saying goodbye to Isobel.


    Yasmin reorganized the stuff when she got back to her ce. She was taken aback when she saw the


    “Mermaid’s Tears”. She quickly yelled at Freddie, “Freddie,e over! Wasn’t this custom-made?


    Hamish had it specially ordered didn’t he, it’s the “Mermaid’s Tears”!”


    Freddie who was lyingfortably on the sofa walked over unwillingly, but he was also taken aback


    when he saw the “Mermaid’s Tears” on Yasmin’s hand. After a pause, he said honestly, “I didn’t know


    that Isobel could be this heartless.”


    Yasmin liked Isobel very much, she kicked Freddie after hearing what he said, “Yeah, she’s heartless


    for throwing away the gifts from Hamish to cut off their rtionshippletely. And your best friend is

    Freddie couldn’t say anything back and he didn’t want to continue arguing. He snatched the “Mermaid’s


    Tears” from Yasmin and said, “You shouldn’t sell this, it would lead to trouble!”


    “I know, I’m not stupid!”


    Hamish had it custom-ordered for Isobel and spent a fortune on it. Yasmin wouldn’t sell it, she only got


    one life!
