Chapter 3 The Morning-After Pill


    Henry interrupted ire. He carried her on his shoulder once more and strode into his room. He threw


    her hard on the bed and the next second, he was on her, leaving no chance for her to flee.


    The Mu Family knew what Henry had done and they all turned pale. Henry had caused quite a stir!


    "Mr. James, it seems that there is no need for us to continue our conversation. We have got the


    message!" scoffed the man from the Mu Family.


    The man didn''t give him a chance to exin. He simply shook James''s hand and left. James was


    furious! In the past, Henry had been very calm while dealing with difficult situations, but today he had


    acted impulsively and irresponsibly. It was a bad idea for him to bring that woman back into this house


    and now he had boldly carried her off to his bedroom, right in front of the Mu Family!


    The night was going to be a tumultuous one, but at this point, Henry was solely focused on ire''s


    release. Tears were welling up in the corners of her eyes. This was a nightmare for her, but little did she


    know that this was just the start!


    The next morning, ire was awakened by the man beside her. She opened her eyes in a daze and


    realized that she was in a strange environment. An involuntary shudder ran through her body. She sat


    up and looked around in bewilderment, as if trying to confirm something.


    Henry was buttoning up his shirt when he saw her reaction. He nced at her and mocked, "From now


    on, you are Mrs. ire, daughter-inw of the Gu Family. You can say and do whatever you want. But


    if you dare to cheat on me... I will make you regret it."


    Henry threatened her as the smile on his face disappeared and was reced by an unfathomable


    expression, which made ire''s scalp tingle. She was an innocent victim, who had unwittingly got

    After forcing himself on her the previous night, he coolly walked out of the bedroom in the morning as


    though nothing had happened. However, he didn''t know what endless hardships were in store for the


    two of them. As soon as Henry went downstairs, James and Sean Gu besieged him.


    They knew that his time yesterday with the new girl was special, but he had behaved so shamelessly in


    front of the Mu Family. Didn''t it ur to him that his actions would push the Gu Family into trouble?


    How could Henry be so careless and stupid!


    Looking at the obscure expression on his family members'' faces, Henry smiled softly. His grandfather,


    James, was incensed at his casual behavior. "Henry, do you intend to exin yourself? Did you do it on


    purpose yesterday?"


    Henry adjusted his tie and sneered, "There''s nothing to talk about. I''m married to that woman.


    Grandpa, you don''t have to worry about it. I know what you''re thinking. Would you really let me marry a


    woman who can''t have children? I don''t think so. None of the Mu Family''s members are here now, so


    you can stop this disgusting drama!"


    Henry had always been respectful toward James because he was his grandfather. There was a very


    special bond between them. But now, he was being treated like a bargaining chip!


    A tense silence hung in the air. Sean Gu didn''t speak because of his past misunderstandings with


    Henry. He didn''t know whether or not he should say something to diffuse the situation. Finally, he


    sighed and turned around in a daze. Henry rxed and left home.

    him, "Did you have to spoil him like this? This child has morphed into another person. He is just making

    Guilt was written all over Sean''s face. He shook his head slowly and finally sank into the sofa with a


    look of resignation. He knew that it was all his fault that Henry had be like this! If he had spent


    more time with his son in his childhood, things wouldn''t have been like this! Unfortunately, it was too


    late to correct himself now.

    night. Then she washed her face and rinsed her mouth. After putting on her clothes, she walked out of


    the room gloomily.


    When she went downstairs, she was unexpectedly detained by his family. After exining several


    times that she did not agree to marry him, ire endured the humiliation and taunts of his family


    members and left in tears. She could see the hostility in their eyes! She couldn''t bear to stay there for


    another second.


    As for the man, he was a stranger to her and she didn''t want to pursue this so-called rtionship any


    further. She knew that if he could afford such a ptial house, he was very rich. She couldn''t fight him.


    The first thing ire did, after going back to the pharmacy, was to take an emergency contraceptive


    pill. Even though she lost her virginity, she didn''t want her future to be destroyed like this. Plus, there


    was another important matter that she needed to investigate. She wanted to check what was wrong


    with the medicine she had given the pregnantdy. How could she have miscarried due to the


    medicine? If her boss found out, ire would probably lose her job!


    She had just taken the pill when her good friend, Bonnie Bai, came up to her and asked with concern,
