Chapter 19
When Adrien returned home, his staff left to attend to their private affairs. Adrieny on the bed and
thought about the news about Corestar Group that Sylvia mentioned to him. He checked on his phone
but couldn’t find any rted information. No domestic media had reported the news. Perhaps he could
find something on foreign news channels.
Just as expected, foreign media reported the news. The Corestar Group had imported cosmetics, food,
electronics, and luxuries and put them on two cargo ships. When the ships arrived at the Eden Ocean,
there was a hurricane. Then, the ships sank, and several people died.
Adrien turned off the phone and contemted for a while. He was sure Lilianne woulde to him if
she couldn’t handle it herself. However, it had been several hours since the incident happened, and
Lilianne still didn’t contact him. It would mean either she already took care of everything or she didn’t
want Adrien to know about it!
Adrien didn’t mind if Lilianne took care of everything without reporting to him. However, if Lilianne
couldn’t handle it and hid it from him, Adrien would do something! He was only a sleeping partner of the
Corestar Group and didn’t even go to thepany once. The worst scenario would be to sell all his
shares that the System endowed Adrien!
Adrien had 79% of the stock shares of Corestar Group. Thepany’s stock price would plummet and
drop 90% if Adrien. sold his shares! That would be a loss no shareholder could bear except Adrien. It
didn’t cost a dime for him to get those shares in the first ce!
Meanwhile, Lilianne was in a three–story vi on the outskirts of Reburg.
“Lilianne, I haven’t seen you for almost a month! How are you doing?” Rnd said while greeting his
downcast daughter.
“Dad, let’s eat first. What do you want to have? I’ll cook.”
“You can cook whatever you want. I’m not picky,”
Rnd and Lilianne did some small talk over the meal.
“Now, what’s going on, Lilianne?” Rnd said abruptly.
“Nothing is going on, Dad. What do you mean?”
“You are still hiding it from me. You didn’t tell me when thepany was merged, and now you are not
going to tell me what happened in the tradingpany. I am retired, but I still know stuff”
*Fine. I’ll tell you, Dad. We just lost a patch of goods worth 315 million dors, and that money was a
loan from the bank. We only have 130 million dors of cash flow in our ount, and that’s not
enough. I’ve already contacted all the media people and asked them not to report it. If anyone learns
about this, we will have to pay back the debt andpensate for the loss of our partners. That’s pretty
much it.”
“When did it happen?”
“It has been over 7 hours since I got the news and 19 hours since the shipwreck.”
“Did you tell this to Mr. Higgins, the new president?”
“Why would I tell him? He’s just a…”
“Lilianne! You are no longer the president of the group. Your shares are less than one–tenth of his. You
can’t call the shots in thepany. If you don’t tell him what happened and handle the situation
yourself, which may cause the stock price to plummet, Mr. Higgins will suffer a great loss. He may file a
*It’s not like that, Dad! No one cares about Corestar Group better than me. I won’t sit back and watch
our group fail. Mr.” Higgins has nevere to thepany since he purchased it. That’s how little he
cares about thepany. Mr. Higgins is an unreliable man. All he cares about are profit and
performance. He only used his family wealth to chip in and share our profits!
“Lilianne, let me remind you of one thing. Corestar Group is no longer ourpany. Do you have any
idea how wealthy at man must be to buy most shares of Corestar Group?”
“Dad, you don’t have to say anything. I know what I’m doing.”
Rnd looked at his daughter and said nothing more.
Adrien thought Lilianne would call him, so he waited until 10 p.m. However, Lilianne didn’t call. Adrien
just forgot about it. Meanwhile, the System upgraded again, and he received another seven million
dors. Nevertheless, Adrien cared nothing about money. All he cared about was the four keys on the
control panel.
“System! I want to use the key of Predictions!”
“Ding! The System is predicting now. Please wait for a second. Ding! The stock price of Daniel
Technology in the Postport Security Exchange will plummet 93% in April. 22. Please seize the
opportunity, Host.”
“Holy shit! That’s another chance to get rich!”
Adrien grew excited. He was thinking of leveraging ten times, twenty times, or even fifty times the
capital he would invest from the bank and using the fund to short the shares of Daniel Technology.
Adrien looked at the calendar. April 22 would be Thursday. He still had time to open an ount and
contact the bank and securities trader!
“Sylvia, I need to make a trip to Postport in April. 20. Please book an air ticket for me. I’ve already had
my passport applied. Darcy, Angus, and you wille as well.”
“Postport? Why are you going there?” Darcy was curious.
“I’m going to short a stock there. However, I don’t have an ount in the Postport Security Exchange.
So, I have to arrive. there earlier and get it ready.”
Sylvia thought about Adrien’s words for a moment and said, “I know people in this business. May I ask
how much you are going to invest, Mr. Higgins? I may help you with that.”
“Great. Sylvia” I’m thinking of raising a fund 20 times or 50 times my principal, but I’m not sure about
the amount limitation of the Postport Security Exchange.”
“Okay, I’ll contact my former boss for you tomorrow, Mr. Higgins. His family is in the stock market
business and has a subsidiarypany in Postport.”
“You would do that for me? Thank you, Sylvia.”
“You are most wee, Mr. Higgins.”
Adrien returned to his room andy on the bed. He initiated the second skill. Adrien was surprised that
his second skill was flying an airne, and the System also gave him a Pilot’s License! This small blue
license was proof that Adrien could fly airnes. “In such case, perhaps I should buy a ne. Never
mind. I’ll see if it’s necessaryter. Adrien thought to himself.
“System, I want to click the Blessing key!”
“Ding! You have received a great blessing. Host. I wish you Never Get Sick!”
“What? Seriously?”
