Chapter 11 So, You Still Love Him?
Susan could clearly feel Edward’s menacing and cold aura. She couldn’t utter even one word even
though it had been some time she was in the car, and only after the car had travelled some distance,
she swallowed hard and exined in a timid yet ttering voice, “He was my ex-boyfriend.”
Edward was certainly no fool. Since he was able to retrieve that wedding ring, he should be able to
guess her rtionship with that man.
He simply eyed Susan and said, “Your ex-boyfriend doesn’t look half-bad either, and he looks like he
hails from a good family background. Despite that… why did you still choose to marry me?”
This was the first time Edward had pointed out such a proper and serious question in front of Susan.
In fact, Edward had brought up the same question several times previously, but it was when they were
immersed in a romantic ambience while lying in bed. For those instances, Susan would exin that
she had fallen for his looks and wealth.

“So, you’re saying that you still love him?”
Edward twisted his brows upwards as he examined Susan.
Susan shifted her gaze to the scenery outside the window and as she took in the passing scenery, she
replied, “Let bygones be bygones. I don’t love him anymore.”
The moment she finished her sentence, Edward abruptly grabbed her face and made it so that she was

facing him. Without warning, he pressed his lips on Susan’s lips. He was kissing her with an absolute
sense of possession. It was a different kind of kisspared to before, and he was so domineering
that she found it hard to reject him.
In the past, Edward always kissed her with a tender sensation. Now, he was kissing her with too much
force that she even felt painful.
Only after some time had psed did he let go of Susan. Her lips were nowpletely maroon in
colour.
Edward watched Susan catching her breath and he curled the corner of his lips, “Remember what you
have just said. You can never love someone from your past from now on.”
“Roger! I only love my husband! I love you very much!”
Susan nodded with force while wrapping her arms around Edward. After a long time, Susan suddenly
snapped back to reality and asked him, “Right, my husband. Why did youe to look for me just
now? Did you have any business with me?”
“Tonight, you have toe back with me to the Ford family. My old man is gathering everyone for a
meal together.”
“Your dad?” Susan muttered. Her marriage with Edward was a secret marriage, and at most the
members of the Ford family were merely informed of this news. They didn’t organize a wedding
ceremony at that time, so she had never met Logan Ford previously.
However, she knew that her marriage with Edward would be able to reassure Logan. It was to gain the
stock equity of the Ford family’spany to her side.
They even photocopied their marriage certificate to let the old man have a look.
As for the other members of the Ford family, Susan had neverid eyes on any of them.
“Who are they? Do you have many family members? Will… Will I make you lose face?”
Susan tested him as their impending divorce which loomed in the distance continued to peg her.
Should she join their family gathering this time knowing that they were going to part ways in a few
months?
“You won’t. We are just going to make an appearance. The whole thing shouldn’tst very long.”
“Oh, I see.”
Susan nodded thoughtfully. Then, she asked again, “My husband, why does your father suddenly call
for a family gathering when he never does any of that all along? How many members are there in your
family? Do I need to prepare any gifts?”
Although Edward never addressed his father as “dad” or “father”, Susan didn’t dare to address Logan
by his real name.
“You don’t need to prepare any gifts, I have asked someone to do that. You just need to doll yourself
up.”
As he replied her, he rubbed Susan’s nose affectionately.
Susan cracked a smile, “My husband, you still haven’t answered me yet. Why is your dad organizing
this family gathering this time?”
“I’m not sure about that too. Perhaps my eldest brother is bringing along his wife, or perhaps my dad
has finally acknowledged someone from another family. Maybe he’s organizing this to allow everyone
to cement their status in the family.”
Edward was replying in a nonchnt tone, but Susan was gaping at him with and astounded
expression.

struggle. His family sounded like anything could happen!
