Chapter 42: He Knew She med Him
Rnd turned and stared at Alvera as she left, his eyes narrowed in thought.
Andrina leaned onto him and buried her head in his chest, her arms wrapped around his waist, and
cried softly.
"It''s all my fault. I should have stopped you from sending her to prison four years ago," she sobbed.
"Those four years in prison changed her. It''s all my fault."
Rnd frowned. Had she really changed because of the four years in prison?
If that was the case, then he was the main reason why she had changed.

As Alvera spat out the water in her lungs, he breathed a sign of relief.
Alvera leaned on him awkwardly, her breathingboured and heavy.
She looked up and fixed her eyes on Rnd, who was standing by the pool.
There was disappointment in her eyes.
Rnd frowned. He felt as if something had been ripped out of his heart.
He knew she was ming him.
Alvera gripped the man''s hand and said, "Timothy, help me up."
The person who had saved her was Timothy, who hade to drop off Luna''s birthday presents.
Normally, he would leave as soon as he was done, but this year, he had to show himself to save
Alvera.
He helped Alvera up and let her put her weight on him as she looked at Luna.
"Why did you push me in, Aunt Luna?" she asked weakly. "I just wanted to sing a song for you."
When he heard this, Timothy said hesitantly, "Aunt Luna, you know Alvera almost drowned here when
