Chapter 4 Feeling Bad and Drugged


    Christy caught a glimpse of the beer handed by Carlos. Right after she took a sip, her phone rang.


    The bar was very noisy, so she had to pick the phone up in the restroom.


    The call was from Susie Neal. When Christy answered the phone, Susie’s scornful and unpleasant


    voice came through.


    "Christy, now you are grown up and no longer listen to your elders, do you? I have been calling you for


    a hundred times! Do you still respect me as your aunt? Why is it so noisy there? Where are you


    messing around again?"


    "What’s the matter?" Christy’s voice was very calm. She had been used to her aunt’s sneer.


    Ever since Christy’s father Sheldon Lauren’s death, she had lived in her uncle Alberto Lauren’s family.


    In the Lauren family, Susie always mocked and bullied her.


    As for her uncle Alberto, he, after Christy’s father passed away, had taken over the Lauren Group with

    Christy packed up the phone and patted her face with cold water. She stood in front of the washing sink

    restroom and walked out.

    She was the one who ran into the man after all. Christy looked at him and apologized, "I am sorry."

    Especially her light brown almond-shaped eyes, revealing her charm utterly. The man immediately


    changed his attitude.


    The middle-aged man’s face was piled with lewdness and an excited smile. His eyes sparkled, "Yo!
