Chapter 8: Intentions Clear as Day
Two hourster, Camille led Fleur to her guestroom-turned bedroom. The smell of floor-cleaner was still
fresh and crisp in the air.
"Do let me know if you need anything else."
"I will. That''s all for now, thank you." Fleur then continued, "ce the bangle here. I''ll transfer the
money to youter."
"Thank you, Miss." Camille bowed then left the room.
After she left, Fleur carefully studied the bracelet. It was entirely iid with minuscule diamonds that
glimmered and shed in the light. Fleur thought it seemed to be one ofst year''s limited edition
pieces from some famous jewellery brand. If she recalled correctly, there were only 100 of this all
across the world.
Its price was 250 thousand dors at the time, a true moniker of elite luxury. But with this crack, its
value would have, unfortunately, dropped to less than 100 thousand dors.
Fleur took a picture of the bangle.
......
Moor Mansion, Y City''s tallest skyscraper, was a cityndmark with 88 floors. It was one of the few
eight-star hotels out there, and had even open up international franchises.
Olivier Martinez exited the offices with his assistant Yves nc behind him. They reached the ground
floor lobby, polished floors reflecting his tall stature.
Dressed in a suit and tie, exuding pure upper-ss energy, Olivier was a beacon in the lobby. A waiter
who caught his eye trembled and quickly looked away.
Olivier''s phone beeped
He did not recognise the number that came with the text message. A picture of a bangle studded with
diamonds was attached with the caption: "Do you think it looks good?"
What was interesting about this message was not that he was asked if this bangle looked good, but
rather...
Olivier''s eyes grew cold. He tucked away his mobile phone and ordered Yves, "Call Raoul. Tell him to
transfer two million to Miss Leroy''s ount immediately."
"Yes, sir."
The only expression on Olivier''s face was a rigid iciness set into his jaw.
"She sure asks for money in a roundabout way," He thought.
Twenty minutester, two million dors was gone from his bank ount. Thirty minutes after that,
Raoul reported that Miss Leroy had spent 300 thousand dors within five minutes of the money
transferred to her ount.
......
Fleur has spent the entire day in the Night Vi, with Camille happily attending to her beck and call
after the amount she had just been paid for the bangle.
Camille got off of work at seven in the evening, leaving Fleur alone in the house. A car returned three
hourster.
Fleur''s shut eyes reacted to the sound of the engine.
Olivier did not switch the lights on as he entered. He quietly went upstairs to his bedroom and headed
for the shower.
He only came out half an hourter, ignoring the knocking on his door. He lit a cigarette on the balcony
as he had done for many years, exhaling puffs of smoke.
The persistent knocking on his door began to annoy him. The man extinguished his cigarette and went
to open the door.
Before he could though, it opened up from the other side, revealing Fleur who was leaning against the
doorway.
"Hello. Can Ie in?"
For many yearster, Olivier would recall that his love and dedication to this woman began from this
very moment.
She was in a ck sling tank top, hair loose around her shoulders. Her smile reached all the way to her
eyes, giving her a charming, radiant look.
Her beauty was as stunning as ever.
The rose on her arm seemed to exude an enticing poppy-like fragrance.
Olivier stared at her. "You might as well havee here naked."
Her intentions were clear as day.
"Nonsense, I''m just cold. The guestroom bed is stiff and hurts my back." Her eyes twinkled. "Your bed

should be soft and warm."
"You want to sleep in my bed?"
"Mhm."
"And then sleep with me?"
"..." The glimmer in Fleur''s eyes brightened. She smiled and asked, "Is that okay with you?"
