Chapter 40: Epilogue


    The storytime was over when Robert looked at us seriously and we were running out of time as Robert


    and his goons pulled out their guns aiming at our heads. I keep twirling my ring restlessly. Just when he


    was about to press on the trigger, the gun was shot out of his hand.


    Everyone in the room stayed on high alert when one by one everyone was shot down, I looked at


    Massimo he nodded at me and jumped on the guy near him and pulled out his gun, shot him dead,


    there were only four of us left, there seems to be a sniper that shot four guys down. Massimo shot


    Arthur''s leg and he fell screaming in pain, Massimo aimed his gun at Robert hesitant to pull the trigger.


    "It''s over Robert, this stops today" Robert scoffed angrily and reached for his gun but Massimo shot his


    leg as well the older guy fell groaning in pain, he ran towards me and undid my ropes. I hugged him


    crying when I was free, he held me tighter


    I pulled away from him and he wiped tears, he noticed the swollen cheek and torn lip, his eyes


    darkened "who?" He asked scarily, I shook my head


    "It doesn''t matter, it''s over now, " I say pulling away from him, a groan of pain caught my attention and I


    walked towards Artur he looked at me, I smiled at him sarcastically before kicking him in the face


    breaking his nose, I turned to face Massimo and he looked at me amused


    The door burst open, cops flooded in screaming in, we smiled at each other and he hugged me closer


    when they got us out of there. They arrested Robert and Artur for kidnapping and attempt to murder


    charges.


    Oliver hugged me weeping and apologizing nonstop for what his father did, I reassured him that he


    shouldn''t apologize for something that he didn''t do.


    I had a dislocated wrist, swollen face, and bruised ego whereas Massimo had gunshot wounds and


    broken ribs. I stayed in his hospital room, he was unconscious and hasn''t woken up from the surgery.


    I held his hand in mine and waited for him to wake up. Iid my head on his bed crying silently if things


    didn''t work out I would have lost him again and this time it would have stayed like that.


    "Stop crying, Erika, I''m right here, " my head snapped towards him and I lunged at him, he winced


    when my hand made contact with his ribs. I apologize for that and kissed his lips deeply proving that he


    is really alright.

    I bend over to pick up the small thing but froze when I saw what it was. I picked it up and showed it to

    wait any longer, " I squeaked excitedly and jumped on him hugging him tightly "gentle, gently" he


    I kissed every corner of his face " I don''t know what to say, " I say emotionally,


    "Don''t, because I have something to ask you, " he said pushing the hair out of my face, "Erika ck,


    will you please make me the happiest man on earth and marry me, again?" Iughed at his proposal


    and nodded kissing his lips, he put the diamond ring on my ring finger and kissed my lips tenderly

    I look at the crowd and find all of my friends and family, my mother crying happy tears, Oliver jumping


    in his ce excitedly, my sister and her husband smiling holding their five-year-old son. Nicole was


    grinning like every single person looked at wedding looked at us and I looked at my husband and


    smiled, I''m happy for us too because all of my wishese true.


    My wish? "If only he loved me too, " and now he does
