Chapter 13: 13

    Chapter 13: 13

I wake up the next morning at around eleven in the morning. Jesus, I missed the schedule fore the

water activities. I immediately grab the phone and call front desk. They inform me that I missed my slot

and could no longer give me another schedule for today. The next open slot would be for tomorrow. I

fall on my bed in disappointment and apologize for missing my schedule with them and well as thanked

them for amodating me. I grab my phone and head downstairs. I see Elliot sleeping on the couch,

hisptop open and his iMessage pinging. I see him scrolling through the water activities on the hotel’s

website. I see the messages on his iMessage. I see a message from his friends, it was from a group. I

open it and scroll to the top most message, at least from three in the morning. I know, it was

inappropriate but I was just curious. It was messages from his friends, making suggestions on what to

do in Koh Samui. No wonder he was looking at water activities. One of his friends asked if I was a

shopper type of persons. He said no and that I didn’t even use his credit card when he left it with me.

There was another friend who said, maybe you could take her on a spa day because that’s something

that his girlfriend would always ask from him. Elliot said that we already did that and one particr

    message hit me.

“I really want her to enjoy and not regret being married to me. I know she doesn’t love me or anything

but I want to at least build some sort of rtionship with me” Elliot said.

A suggestiones “How about water activities then a private meal on a different ind”

I close hisptop and take a look at Elliot. That was really sweet of him, I have to admit. Elliot’s very

warm and to be honest, if circumstances were different, it would not be so hard to love Elliot. He’s kind,

charitable, sweet and a real gentleman. No wonder girls swoon over him. Just not me.

Too bad we missed the aquatic activities today. I take the nket from his room and cover him up. I

walk over to the phone and call concierge to connect me to the restaurant and order a special

American breakfast for two people. It’s already sote and even if we wanted to do something today,

we’re not going to be able to maximize it. I thank the restaurant personnel and wait for our breakfast.

Elliot’s things are on the counter where there are stools, it probably doubles as a breakfast nook as

well. I carefully organize his things back to his room and I let him sleep in peace. I go upstairs and take

a quick warm shower. When I step out of the room, fresh from the shower and clothed. I can hear

people talking downstairs and I look down and I see the waiter with our food and Elliot thanking him for

bringing the food to our room. I run down and smile at Elliot. He was still fresh from his sleep, his hair

up and eyes extra small. I help Elliot pull the trolley near the nook and I start cing the tes

properly. While I ce the tes, Elliot faces the cups up and he poured me a cup of hot chocte and

cold water in another ss. We sat across from each other and Elliot look around the room.

I point to his room, “It’s in your room. I just cleared out the nook awhile ago because I ordered

    breakfast for us” I say.

“Thanks” he says his voice a little rough and bigger than usual. He steps down from the seat, walks to

the room andes back with hisptop and charger. He plugs it in, types in his password and he

scans the messages for a moment. He nces at me, as if he knows that I did in fact read his

messages. He doesn’t confront me about it. I take a few pieces of the pancake and a bowl of the m

    chowder to my side.

I clear my throat, “While I was fixing your things, I identally opened one of your messages but I

didn’t read them. Don’t worry” I say and I drink my hot chocte. I ce an eggs benedict on his ce,

a couple of pieces of bacon, toast and I pour him a cup of coffee. Elliot just nods but continues to

    typing.

“Are you going to be working today?”

He shakes his head, “No. I told you, I’ll be spending the day with you. But” he starts with his but again,

“I’ll be out again tomorrow. I’ll be meeting with some people for another project. You still have my card,

    right?” he asks.

    “Yeah, I do”

He nods and he chews his food, “Good. The driver will still be avable at your convenience. Call me

when you’re going to leave the suite and where you’re going. Just in case”

he says. “So” he closes hisptop. “What do you want to do today?”

I put my fork down and sip my hot chocte, “Actually,” I start to say, “I had the whole day nned out

because I know you’re stresses and all that. I thought we could go on aquatic activities but I woke up

He crosses his arms, ces both elbows on the nook and leans forward to say, “Yeah, I know you

nned a day of activities today. The woman at the front desk called this morning to confirm your ten

o’clock schedule. I informed her that we’d have to cancel because we’re both tired fromst night” he

wiggles his brows maliciously at me.

I raise my brow. I take a piece of toast, break it and throw it at him. He moves a little to the side and the

toast falls on the floor. “Pervert” I say with eyes squinted.

He shrugged, “What? Nothing happened and it’s true that we were tired from everything that happened

“It’s not what you said, it’s how you said it” I reason out.

“Yeah, sure” he says in an annoying tone. Elliot and I continue to eat while we watch a movie on

Netflix. When we both finish breakfast, we ce everything on the trolley.

“We should go swimming” I tell him

He looks at me, “What? Now? IT’s one in the afternoon, the sun’s going to be out”

    I look out, “Oh, yeah”

Elliot looks at me, “Do you want to take a drive around the area? Maybe go check what Koh Samui can

    offer?” he asks.

I raise a brow “Will the driver be with us?”

    He shakes his head, “No”

My face lights up and I say, “I’ll change really quick”
