Chapter 23: His Stare


    “Take it easy Kate, so I won’t trip off.” Anita said lightly as her eyes locked with Andre whose eyes couldn’t find its way off her body.


    Staggering a bit, she stood firm and held her friend’s hand tight.


    “Let’s leave.” Andre managed to say as he stretched his palm out to her.


    Anita didn’t know what to do but to ce hers on top his palm as he led them out of the house.


    “Kate locked the door herself and ced the key in the house’ lock box as they made their way to Andre’s car in the apartment’s garage.


    “This car looks different from thest one I saw him with.” Anita whispered into Kate’s ear before entering into the car. Kate entered after that, then Andre walked into the front car seat and started the car.

    Seeing this, Andre felt satisfied. Seeing a woman look so happy gave him more reasons to never stop treating people good. He then started the engine and drove off.


    At the other side of the estate, sat Thomas in his car who had just drove in not too long ago unknown to them.


    He had seen everything that yed out right in front of him. His heart beat grew. He got prepared to troll them, but was stopped by a phone call.


    “What is it? Don’t tell me I will have to leave them alone.” he said to the man across the phone.


    “You have no choice.” the deep voice responded and ended the call.


    Hitting the brakes of his car, he bent his head out of frustration.


    At the bustle of the city of New York, Andre stopped his car at the New York City Mall and pulled open the door for thedies toe out.


    “Thank you Andre!” they thanked him and went inside.


    “Why are you with a face mask on your face?” Anita asked him after noticing him with a face mask on.


    “I’m just trying to avoid issues with your boyfriend. Who knows, he could be around.” he said and walked passed her.


    Stopping, Anita became confused.

    “What do you think about Thomas lurking around here?” she asked Kate.


    “Why would you think he would be around? Why kind if excuse are you trying toe up with?” Kate asked innocently and kept looking around.


    They have not gotten to the spot they fancied.


    Anita moved with her as she picked on the word EXCUSE.

    “Oh my goodness! How were you able to see this spot of the mall. I couldn’t even dare even if I had worn medicated sses.” Anita said as she and Kate then walked into the ce to have a view.


    “Kate do you know, I have always dreamt if having a diamond, but you see, not all dreamse true. I just…”

    The girls became stunned. Looking up, they saw Andre making his way towards them. He was still putting in his facemask.

    “I meant to say that, I can pay use my life saving to help you bring your dreams to life if you don’t mind. I actually would not mind on my own.” he said, his voice changing.


    “I don’t think you should. I mean its just an injury.” Anita turned him down immediately.


    “Yes Andre, you don’t have to do that for us. We don’t mind working hard to be able to afford it. Let’s just look around. You can get us some snacks after we have feed our eyes enough.” Kate answered him too and the girls went back to admiring the ne and ear rings in the show sses.


    “Oh my gosh! This is beautiful.” Anita whispered as she looked at one pair of earrings she found the most attractive at that moment as she lost interest in every other one in the sses.


    Kate also found another simr pair age lives the most out of all as she and Anita fantasized about them.


    “Anita these earrings must be super expensive. I said it, look at the price tag.” Kate said a bit loudly.


    “Yes kate. Each of these cost one hundred thousand dors.” Anita said as they took onest look at it and decided to make their way out of the room, a bit disappointed that they couldn’t afford what they admired the most, but would Andre let that happen?

    Anita and Kate froze at their spot.

    “Andre, you are a man with future responsibilities. Don’t spend your savings on us. It’s just a diamond pairs of earrings. Nothing to worry about.”
