It was a usual day for Xander, He was in his office working like a workaholic checking meticulously all the documents that were sent to him. Rndo, his right hand/assistant/butler, was standing on the side waiting for his master to finish signing all the documents he gave to him in thest 3 hours and up until now he was waiting for Xander to finish signing all the documents.
” You can sit, Rndo. You don’t need to wait while standing. Drop that action of yours. We are not in the medieval period” Xander said while reading the documents.
” Sorry, Master. I can’t do that. This the butler of a family should behave” Rndo politely said that makes Xander chuckle.
” Still devoted as ever” Xander said while slightly shaking his head.
” Because it’s my job, Master,” Rndo answered. Xander just nodded his head as he took down his eye sses and put them in the case.
” You have been here at my side, Since I was a child.” Xander suddenly said that makes Rndo nce at his master’s face.
” It was my duty to be at your side, Master”
Xander just smiled because of what Rndo said to him as he leaned back on his chair.
” How did you do that? How did you stay at my side, When my mother opposes you?” Xander asks Rndo to fully look at his master.
” You know that there’s no people who will be by my side, Unless my mother permits it.”
” She is not the person who I pledge my loyalty to,” Rndo bluntly said.
” I’m just doing my job and my task as your butler, Master. And that is to stay at your side, never let you alone, follow your orders and protect you from any harm” Rndo straightly said. Xander crossed his arms as he raised his eyebrows that made his forehead wrinkle.
” The loyalty of your” Xander smiles as he remembers something in the past.
” You prove your loyalty to me by following my order to marry Kriza ” He added. ” Without a doubt you immediately married her even though you don’t have any romantic feelings with her? ” I just follow yourmand, Master,” Rndo said, which made Xanderugh.
” Kriza will surely be mad, When she hears this. She might curse me to death” He jokingly said as he left a sigh out of relief.
” Sometimes, It’s annoying that you always follow what I say. Even if it will put you in danger.” Xander stops as he shows a genuine smile. ” But at the same time, I feel relieved that there is a person who I can trust. A person that will never betray me” At the end of his sentence a hint of warning is in the tone of Xander and Rndo knows it.
Rndo faces Xander fully as he takes a deep bow in front of Xander.
” I will always be faithful and loyal to you, Master. I swear it in my family’s name, Honor and in my life” Rndo sincerely said that makes Xander grin out of amusement.
” I know that, As I said. You always prove your loyalty to me and I’m deeply thankful for that.” Xander said as he opened his one drawer and got a cigarette and lit it up.
” Before that two women left the mansion, Auntie Davina went for me as she gave her some cute advice,” Xander said as he took a puff from his cigarette and then blew the smoke.
” She told me that all the people on my side will surely betray me in the end. What a witch” Xander coldly said as he took his cigarette again.
” Among all the people who are at my side right now, You are the only one who I can truly trust. Who can I give my 100% trust” Xander continued as turned his swivel chair facing the outside view of his office.
” Grandfather, Obviously on Lorenzo’s side. I know it even if he denies it. I don’t have a friend inside or outside of the family. More in the business industry. And Giselle, She just wants my money. Among all those people you are the only one who I can rely on” Xander said as he blew the smoke away from his mouth.
” I hope you stay on my side, Rndo. I know that you know that you are the only one who I consider my friend” Xander stopped as he gave a hand signal to Rndo to get all the documents that he signed earlier. Rndo obediently follows Xander and quietly gets the documents over his table.
” You can go now” Xander said to Rndo as he continued to smoke.
Rndo bowed to Xander before he quietly left the room. Xander watched Rndo leave the room by looking at his reflection on the ss wall. As soon as he left the room, Xander left a deep sigh as he closed his eyes and rxed his mind.
” It’s giving me a headache” Xander murmured before he opened his eyes.
Rndo is the only person who Xander treats as a friend because Rndo is the only one who stays by his side and the one who never betrays him. But Xander slowly realized certain things because of what his auntie Davina said to himst time they met. That Rndo can’t stay at Xander’s side forever because he will surely leave him to follow what he truly desires. And Xander knows what Rndo truly desires.
It’s her cousin, Kriza.
Xander knows it, Even Rndo didn’t say it to him but he read it to his actions and how he looks at Kriza. Xander bet that Rndo feelings developed when Kriza decided to finally annul the marriage. Xander knows it because he grew up with Rndo and he surely confirmed that his cold rock butler is finally falling inlove to her cousin.
Xander is anxious a little by the possible chance that Rndo will chase her cousin of his. And pursue her. And when that time happens. Xander knew that he can’t do anything but to support his friend’s desire to marry the love of his life.
” I can’t believe that women get the heart of that rock man,” Xander chuckled as he looked at the sky.
AS SOON ROLANDO LEFT the office from his boss, He immediately looked at the document and checked all of it if there’s something his master read or smelled. That makes Xander talk like that. Because Xander is not a vocal type of person, especially when talking about friendship and loyalty. It feels like Xander suddenly became sentimental. He grew up with his Master, And thest time he saw him like that was when he was a child with his mother. And after that he became a cold, hot-tempered man.
Rndo looked back at the door of the office of his master. He wanted to answer what his master said to him earlier. He wanted to say that either he is, He is treating Xander as his real and only friend. But that is wrong. Butler should be a shield and right hand to their masters, not a friend.
Rndo just took a deep breath as he started to walk away from the office to deliver the documents when his phone suddenly rang. Rndo hastily gets his phone and checks who the caller is.
” Unknown number?” Rndo muttered as he answered the call.
” Hello, Is this Mr. Rndo Lavien- Oh! I mean Liviendo? Mr. Rndo Liviendo?” The unknown caller asked.
” Speaking,” Rndo stoically answered like a robot.
” Mr. Liviendo, This is Nurse Evans from Gregory North Hospital. Your wife Kriza Liviendo, Got into a car ident. She is receiving treatment now in the hospital and her s-” The nurse didn’t finish her words when Rndo, Immediately ended the call. He quickly ran towards his table as he got his bag and put all the documents inside. After that he hastily leaves thepany and quickly gets into his car as he drives it as fast as he can until he reaches the Gregory North Hospital.
” What the F*ck just happened?” He hissed as he parked his car in one of the doctors parking lot unconsciously. Rndo quickly left the car as he ran inside the hospital and quickly went to the information desk to know about Kriza’s room.
” I’m Kriza Liviendo’s husband, Rndo Liviendo. Someone called me earlier that my wife got into a car ident and brought her to this hospital” Rndo said to the nurse in the information desk.
” Okay, Sir. I will check” The nurse calmly said as she turned into theputer and searched for Kriza Liviendo.
” Sir, Can I please check your I. d first?” The nurse ask to Rndo,
“Your wife is in the private room no. 19, She just got minor wounds in her head and some part of the body. And the other additional information will be announcedter by the doctor, Who treated your wife.” The nurse said.
” Where can I find private room no. 19?”
” At the 3rd floor, Left side near the window” The nurse politely answered. After that Rndo quickly rushed inside the elevator as he quickly pressed the floor where the room of Kriza is located.
Rndo ran towards Kriza rooms, As he immediately stopped in front of her room and took a deep breath as he calmed himself. Rndo counted 1 to 10 in his mind before he finally decided to go inside the room.
Rndo slowly walks inside as he makes sure he will not make any noises that will make Kriza aware of him. He carefully checks the bed and he sees her sleeping peacefully. He watches her sleep as he scans her whole body while standing away from her.
He saw a little bruise in Kriza’s head and he also noticed the bruise in her hands and cheeks. As far as he remembers. The nurse told him that there’s no serious injuries but he needs to talk to a doctor to make sure there’s no internal bleeding or broken bones inside Kriza.
Rndo quickly turned back to the door when he heard it open. The doctor ising into the private room. Rndo hastily ran towards the door as he stopped the doctor froming in and dragged the doctor outside the private room. The doctor was shocked because of what Rndo did. She gathers her strength and forcefully pushes Rndo away from her.
” What the F*ck!” The doctor gasps while touching her chest. Her heart is beating wildly as she thought earlier there is a terrorist inside the hospital.
” Sorry, Doctor, if I dragged you here outside without a warning. I just don’t want my wife to suddenly wake up from the noise.” Rndo politely said. The Doctor just rolled her eyes as she fixed her sses.
” How am I going to check her vitals if I am here outside her room?” The Doctor sarcastically said as she looked at the Kriza chart. Rndo coughed as the doctor trapped him in his words.
” Well, I guess you are his husband. I know this scenario. It’s always happening in the private rooms in this hospital.” The Doctor muttered as she got her ballpen.
” Yes, I am a patient husband. Rndo Liviendo” Rndo quickly answered.
” Okay, your wife is okay. She only got a minor injury. Bruises, wounds, minor head injuries and sprain. But overall, She is fine and the baby is safe.” The doctor reported to Rndo.
The Doctor looked up at Rndo after getting no response in seconds, And he caught him spacing out and in shock about what she reported to him about his wife.
” You didn’t know she was pregnant?” The Doctor quickly asks Rndo to answer in a nod.
” I can’t believe I am working in this hospital. I feel like I am always in a drama” The doctor mumbled as she left a deep sigh.
“I need to go inside, Mr. Liviendo, I need to check your wife” The Doctor said as she went inside the room leaving Rndo behind.
Rndo slowly walked towards the seat in front of the room as he weakly sat down, As he was still in shock on what he learned from the doctor. He still can’t believe that Kriza is pregnant, and a part of that he was in an ident before when he was a teenager, Back when he helped Xander and got into an ident and because of that ident he became sterile and it’s impossible for him to get her pregnant.
Is Kriza having a man behind his back? The first andst time they had sex was 2 months ago. How many months is Kriza baby?
That is all the things running in Rndo’s head as he can’t fully absorb the news that he heard. He was in deep thoughts when his phone suddenly rang. Unconsciously he reaches his phone from his pocket and answers it without looking at the i. d caller.
” Rndo, Where are you? The documents!” Rndo immediately back in a snap when he heard the cold voice of Xander over the phone. He quickly shook his head as he immediately stood up.
” I’m on my way to deliver it, Master,” Rndo answered.
” Okay, Make it quick,” Xander said before he ended the call.
” I’ll just deal with this matterter,” Rndo sighs as he looks at the door of the room before he starts to walk away.
THE FEMALE DOCTOR WENT INSIDE THE ROOM, She quickly left a deep sigh because of the stress that she is experiencing these days in the hospital.
” This hospital is f*cking weird” She mumbled as she walked inside the room. As soon as she gets inside where the bed is located. She saw the patient sitting on the bed.
” Oh, you’re awake” The doctor casually said as she quickly walked towards the patient and did her work.
” Well, you are good and the baby is fine. You just need to rest because of your sprain and minor head injury.” The female doctor said while checking the I. V line.
” Is my husband still outside the room?” Kriza suddenly asks the doctor.
” Well, I guess he was still shocked after I said to him that you’re baby is fine” The doctor casually said to Kriza that makes her eyes widened.
” What?! Did you say that to him?!” Kriza asks out of shock.
” Yes, Because she is your husband and I need to report our status to him. To make him aware what happened to you” The female doctor said as she put her left hand inside herb coat pocket.
” My gosh” The only thing Kriza said as shey down in the bed.
” Take a rest and goodbye”
