Is that photo familiar to you Sir?" asked Seth.
"Yes I am, even though this photo is blurred and almost ruined. My grandson possessed a simr photo
to this. The little boy in this photo is my grandson Atif. So how the olddy has this photo?" asked Haris
with curiosity in his voice.
"Well, when the olddy found Haya, she carried a small bag on her hand which the zipper is open and
probably the things which are inside was dropped and only a wallet left inside. The wallet have photo
slots made of stic and fortunately some of the photos which are these photo given to me by the old
woman was saved from being soaked in water. “Seth exined.
"If they got a wallet from Haya''s bag why don''t they even read any information about Haya?" asked
Haris.
"Sir, unfortunately the wallet is intended only to hold some photos and Haya used it to keep these
photos and her money. They found nothing inside her wallet aside from these photos and some money
bills. No name, no address or even a telephone number." Seth answered.
"Okay, but why didn''t they remind Haya with these photos? Maybe her memoryes back if they
show these photos to her." Haris asked.
"They tried but it is better not to mention it again to Haya for some reasons.” Seth said.
Seth tell the reasons why the old woman don’t want to remind Haya again with these things.
Here is the reasons why the old woman stop reminding Haya about the photos she found on the wallet
inside the bag that Haya is carrying when she found Haya on the seashore:
Haya got a trauma. She developed phobia.

The old woman, Elsa is afraid to show the photos, the wallet and the bag to Haya. She is afraid that
Haya will suffer again the phobia she had before if she see these things that will remind her of what
happened to her long ago.
So the old woman just waited the time when Haya will regain her memory and will tell them who really
she is.
But many years had passed it never happened.
Phobia is an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.
She had a phobia about being under water.
She is afraid to go to the sea shore.
She fear anything rted to water.
She felt she is drowning whenever she touched water.
Becauseter she partially remember what had happen to her on the ocean.
She recall the sinking ship, what had happened to her when she jumped into the ocean before the ship
totally wrecked by the big waves.
She recalled what had happen to the sinking ship but not the ce where it happened.
She recalled what had happen to her when the ship is sinking but not her name and where she came
from.
For she don’t know her name Elsa called her by name Aliyah.
Haya developed an amnesia ording to the doctor that’s why she cannot remember who she is and
where she came from.
From that day, Haya became part of their family.
Elsa helped Haya to recover from trauma.
They guessed that Haya is came from a sunken ship somewhere.
But Haya got a temporary amnesia. She don’t remember who she is and where she came from.
She don’t even remember her name and why she got there.
Because of trauma she developed dissociative amnesia.
Dissociative amnesia is a condition in which a person cannot remember important information about his
or her life. This forgetting may be limited to certain specific areas (thematic), or may include much of
the person’s life history and/or identity (general).
Dissociative amnesia has been linked to overwhelming stress, which may be caused by traumatic
events such as war, abuse, idents, or disasters. The person may have suffered the trauma or just
witnessed it.
In some rare cases, the person may forget most or all of his personal information (name, personal
history, friends), and may sometimes adopt apletely new identity. In all cases of dissociative
amnesia, the person has a much greater memory loss than would be expected in the course of normal
forgetting.
Severe trauma or stress can also cause dissociative amnesia. With this condition, your mind rejects
thoughts, feelings, or information that you’re too overwhelmed to handle, lead to amnesia as well as
forgetting other details of your life.
That is the case of Haya.
Her mind rejects the thoughts, feelings and information caused by traumatic events that she suffered.
Dissociative amnesia is different from amnesia caused by medical problems, such as illnesses,
strokes, or brain injuries. In medically caused amnesia, recovering memories are rare and generally a
slow and gradual process.
While in dissociative amnesia often, when memories return, they do so suddenly andpletely.
Memory recovery may happen on its own, after being triggered by something in the person’s
surroundings, or in therapy.
In Haya’s case, her memory didn’t return for a long time for she developed or totally adopt apletely
new identity and no one or nothing can remind her of her true identity.
And as time passed by she ovee her phobia and forget all about what had happened to her (her
experienced) on the sinking ship.
BUT when timees that something or someone in her surroundings trigger her mind to remember
her past, her memories will return. She will remember who she is.
For in dissociative amnesia memory recovery happen on its own after being triggered by something in
the person’s surroundings.
"So it means Haya totally developed a new identity and totally forgot her true identity?" Haris asked
again.
"Exactly Sir. But maybe she will remember who she really is if something, someone or some event will
trigger the memory to remember her past. “Seth exined.
"Maybe if she will go home to our country, she will remember who she is. But we cannot just tell her
about her true identity without showing the most concrete or more reliable evidence to convince her.
For her to trust us. “Haris was worried on how to tell these things to Haya.
"If that would be the case Sir, a DNA test will do. We will just need a sample to testing from Haya
and from her parents or any rtives of her to match and convince her that she is really Haya. The
missing person that you were looking for long ago.” Seth suggest.
"I am worried if she will cooperate with us to give some sample. Yes her parents will cooperate if they
want to find Haya again. But the problem is would Haya believe us." Haris said.
"Sir if we cannot proved her identity using DNA test, I will suggest that we offer Haya an overseas job
located in our country, in Bosnia and Herzegovina to make her go back to our country. And from that
maybe she will remember everything about herself if she will stay longer in our country." Seth
suggested.
"That is a great idea. I will open my new business to workers from overseas. I will hire factory workers
from here in Asia to work in my manufacturingpany there in Bosnia. “Haris agreed to the
suggestion of the private investigator.
"That is good Sir so that it will not be obvious that we are offering a job just to Haya. She will not
be suspicious of our intention. By offering her a job we can make her go home to our country
without making further exnation to her. ‘‘Said Seth.
“So the n is we will not tell to her, her real identity at first and let her regain her memory on her own
by making her go home to our country? Well, Hope this n will work Seth.” Haris said.
“I Hope so that it will work. Hope she will regain her memory when she go back in our country.” Seth
answered.
"Alright. I will call Atif to prepare such things about the job opening. I will tell him to add that option if the
workers to work for us. The set up in the factory will be about to finish and the hiring process of the
workers will start at the end of this month." Haris exined.
"Okay Sir, the timing is good." Seth said.
"Yes, really. So you should take care of the rest. Arranged the hiring process here. Talk to the old
woman, tell her to convince Haya to work abroad, to apply in thepany. Do your best to make our
n work." Haris said
"Yes Sir, you can count on me." Seth said.
