    Though the contract was for only a year and she will go back to the city after a year, she felt uneasy


    whenever she thought about how difficult it was for the children. The kids in the city enjoyed the high


    technology times while the kids in the vige still had to struggle for the chance to study even at the

    “William, if you don’t love Sophia, then release her early!” James said angrily as he drank the entire


    ss of wine. His expression of disdain was covering the pain in his heart. From the first time he met


    Sophia, he was fated to be her protector. Guarding her but unable to touch her through all these years.

    driving to forget Mia’s image.


    He drove anxiously back home and as soon as he got out of the car, Sophia’s dainty beautiful face


    came out to wee him. She lunged into his embrace, “William dear, you’re finally back. I thought


    that you were angry and didn’t want toe back.”


    Looking at her smooth silky hair, William hugged her and forcibly suppressed his frustrations and said


    lovingly, “How could I? Why would I be angry with you?”


    He lifted her tear-soaked little face, Sophia was gentle and demure as she bit her lower lip. No matter


    how one looked, she was just adorable and lovely. After hearing what William said, she hugged him


    and apologized, “I’m sorry William dear, I know that you need time. I shouldn’t be so anxious and


    shouldn’t force you. I’m sorry. I will never force you again.”


    “Sophia.” His heart softened. William med himself, ‘You clearly have the world’s most perfect

    “William dear, I can wait, just like you waited for me.”


    Sophia’s generosity made him even more guilty. He held onto her and lovingly said, “Quickly go in, it’s

    Inside the house, Sophia took out a golden invitation card and said, “Three months ago my parents

    William looked at the pictures and was dazed. He inadvertently thought of Mia and thought about how

    dashing and handsome, tall, slim, and in good shape. He stood out in the crowd and easily became the


    focus of attention.


    The intimacy of them holding hands with the ten fingers intertwined made everyone envious of them.


    “How blissful.” The group of people around Teddy and Mindy quickly said and praised. Teddy and


    Mindyughed heartily in satisfaction!


    Many people continued to flow in inclusive of government officials, business leaders. Most came to


    mingle and meet William.


    When they saw how effective William’s presence was to attract the crowd, Teddy and Mindyughed


    joyously and were full of pride.


    William and Sophia walked directly towards them and Teddy readily shook William’s hand while Mindy


    hugged Sophia.


    William calmly shook his hand and he never liked Teddy and his wife but he gave them the satisfaction


    of his attendance for Sophia’s sake. They collected plenty of wealth and fame from their rtionship


    with him. Of course, he knew that but he treated it as a way to repay them for bringing up Sophia.


    Teddy’s ttery of William was over the top and he didn’t act like a father-inw.


    Sophia was dragged to a group of wives for an introduction and immediately received a series of


    praises.


    “Wow, how radiant. You’re beautiful from all angles. You are truly fortunate.”


    “I’ll be contented if my daughter is half as beautiful as your daughter.”


    “Wow, she’s truly beautiful. With this gown, she’s elegant and exquisite, oh my, oh my.”


    Sophia graciously epted everyone’s praise. She tugged on her gown and said, “It’s more beautiful in


    purple. William dear insisted that I wear this sky-blue gown which I don’t like.”


    William was standing beside her and he frowned gently and looked towards Sophia momentarily.


    Immediately he was pulled by Teddy towards the Mayor of the city.


    Raising a beautiful daughter to have connections with an important figure like William. Mindy had


    gotten praises that she could hope for. She grinning from ear to ear.


    Zain Hans walkedzily down the stairs. He wore a flowery shirt with two undone buttons. Around his


    neck was a thick ne. He looked like a good for nothing rich kid. He was chewing gum and totally


    disregarded the important people in the room.


    He has Mindy’s facial features. Beautiful eyes and fine eyebrows, thin lips when smirked projected a


    disdainful look to everyone.


    Sophia turned and frowned when she saw him. Mindy already walked over and said, “What’s wrong


    with you? Why don’t you change your clothes? Are you intentionally angering your father? Hurry up


    and change!”


    “Why should I change?!” Zain Hans was totally disinterested and didn’t care. He looked towards Sophia


    and said, “This isn’t my celebration and has nothing to do with me.” He turned away unwilling to take


    another look at Sophia.
