Chapter 47: You Can鈥檛 Drink, You鈥檙e Still Underage

    Chapter 47:You Can’t Drink, You’re Still Underage

He''d grown up with Chow since young, and he''d never seen Chow look at anyone with such intense

    eyes before.

Was Chow really just treating Vivian as a toy as he had said before?

To Vivian, the encounter with Ran in the morning was most probably just a random coincidence.

Although she had been very embarrassed, she knew that she wouldn''t be meeting him very often in the

future and just forced herself to forget about it.

After her afternoon sses, Vivian joined Aunt ine in the kitchen to stop her mind from wandering

    off.

She didn''t know whether or not Chow would be returning that night, but she still made the mushroom

soup that Chow had requested thest time.

However, just as she was done seasoning and preparing the soup, Vivian''s phone started ringing

    loudly.

She quickly wiped her hands and fished her phone out of her pocket. It was Celine.

Because of her messed-up rtionship with Chow, Vivian always felt guilty and uneasy whenever it

came to Celine. But since Celine was the one calling her this time, Vivian couldn''t just ignore her call.

After some hesitation, Vivian swiped at the screen and epted the call before putting the phone

against her ear. "Sister Celine, is there something wrong?"

Celine lowered her voice and said to Vivian anxiously, "Chow is drunk. He''s too heavy and I can''t carry

him back. Can youe and help me?"

Vivian was rather surprised when she heard what Celine was saying. "He''s drunk? But it''s still so early

    in the day!"

It was only six or seven o''clock in the evening, at most. Even if Chow had had a lot to drink, he still

shouldn''t have been so dead drunk that he''d need two people to carry him back home like this.

What''s more, wasn''t Ethan the person whom Celine should be contacting anyway?

When Celine heard Vivian questioning her, her tone turned icy. "What? Did you think I would lie to you

    about this?"

"Of course not!" Vivian denied hurriedly. "W-Where are you guys now? I''ll be right there!"

"We''re at the Phoenix Club. Come here quickly. I''ll get someone to let you in at the door," Celine said,

hanging up in a hurry right after.

Vivian frowned and looked at her darkened phone screen, still feeling rather uneasy about the whole

    thing.

"What''s wrong? What happened?" Aunt ine couldn''t help asking when she came in and saw the

    worried face Vivian was making.

Vivian quickly shook her head as she slid the phone back into her pocket. "It''s nothing, just that Brother

Chow seems to be drunk and Sister Celine needs some help bringing him back."

"Miss Celine?" Aunt ine looked rather suspiciously at Vivian. "Young Master is a big man. What''s the

use of asking you to help? Why don''t you call assistant Ethan and ask him to help instead?"

Vivian knew that Aunt ine''s suggestion was the best one, yet when Vivian remembered the way

Celine had spoken to her on the phone just now, she still shook her head in refusal. "It''s fine, I''ll just go

over and see how I can help. I''ll be back for dinnerter, Aunt ine," she said. "Since we''re mostly

done cooking already, why don''t you take a break? I''ll call assistant Ethan if I need him. You don''t have

    to worry about me."

Then, Vivian patted Aunt ine''s arm, took off her apron, and left after grabbing her backpack.

Although she had never been to clubs like these, the Phoenix Club was not a hard ce to find

because it was so well-known in the area.

As soon as she arrived at the entrance, a waiter in uniform came up to her and asked if she was Miss

    Vivian.

Vivian nodded timidly at him, letting him lead her inside.

A ce that was so often frequented by Chow would undoubtedly be ssy and elegant, unlike the

usual noisy and rowdy bars other people would go to. Since the guests were mostly in their own private

rooms, it was rather quiet in the hallways. Vivian didn''t even recall meeting anyone else on the way in.

The waiter brought her to a door and knocked on it, turning to leave only after the people inside told

    them toe in.

Vivian recognised Celine''s voice. She reached out and gently pushed the door open.

However, she hadn''t expected the sight of Celine kissing Chow deeply and passionately in his arms to

be the first thing to greet her.

Vivian was rooted to the ground as she felt a sense of cold dread wash over her, making her shudder

    uncontrobly.

She watched as the two figures continued kissing, so deeply engrossed in each other that they were

just ignoring herpletely at the door. At that moment, there was only one thought on her mind.
