Chapter 38: Youre Just a Nobody

    Chapter 38: You''re Just a Nobody

Chow scoffed. "You''re definitely a lot of trouble," he said. "It seems like I''m going to have to arrange for

more servants in this ce if I don''t want to keep bringing your dinner up for you."

Hearing his words, Vivian''s face turned red again. She buried her face in the nkets.

Was it going to continue being like this?

She didn''t think that she would ever get used to it.

Since Aunt ine had already prepared the meal, it wasn''t long before Chow came back with a tray of

    food.

While Chow was out, Vivian wrapped herself up securely in her sleeping gown. She felt more at ease

    facing him like this.

Even so, the marks he left in his body were still so obvious. Vivian tensed up when Chow waltzed into

    the room.

Chow ced the tray on the table and looked at Vivian as he gestured towards the tes. "Take them

    out yourself."

Vivian had managed to regain a bit of strength after resting for a while. She was still capable of taking

out the dishes and setting them down on the table.

Thus, under Chow''s watchful eye, she quickly set out the dishes one by one.

There was only one chair at the study table. Vivian sat in that chair as she arranged the dishes neatly

    on the table.

However, it was only after arranging the dishes that she realised Chow was still standing by her side.

She looked at the dishes and saw that the portion was for two. Chow was going to eat with her as well.

She got up rather awkwardly and offered Chow her seat. "Brother Chow, you can sit here."

Chow raised an eyebrow and sat on the chair. Then, he pulled Vivian into hisp.

Vivian was shocked. She automatically tried to stand up but Chow just hugged her waist tightly.

    "Brother Chow!" Vivian eximed.

Chow held her against his body and replied nonchntly. "Let''s just eat like this."

Vivian held her breath. "It''s rather awkward," she said in a low voice.

Chow leaned back and pressed his chest against her back. "Hmm, you''re right. It''s a little

    ufortable to eat like this."

He reached for his fork but quickly put it back. Then, he leaned down to speak in Vivian''s ear. "Since I

fed you yesterday, don''t you think that it''s time for you to return the favour today?"

"W-What?" Vivian widened her eyes in surprise.

Chow''s eyes narrowed slightly. He lowered his head and kissed her lips before raising his head again

to look at her. "I said, feed me."

Vivian wondered how a twenty-something-year-old man like him could request such a thing from her so

calmly without turning red from embarrassment. She was quite impressed with his shamelessness.

However, she made sure to keep her mouth shut about it. Letting out a thin-lipped smile, Vivian pierced

a cut of roast beef with her fork and fed it to Chow''s mouth.

Chow lowered his head and took the beef into his mouth. Then, he fed himself a bite of potatoes using

    another fork.

Vivian blushed and fed herself a tomato with the same fork she used to feed the beef to him. She never

thought the day woulde when she would share a utensil with Chow during a meal. It was rather

    sweet and romantic for her.

However, she didn''t let herself indulge in the sweetness for too long.

They were just having a meal together after all. There really wasn''t anything much to it.

Chow was up to his tricks again. After swallowing his beef and potatoes, he suddenly swooped forward

and stole the piece of beef that Vivian had just put into her mouth.

"Oh!" Vivian eximed in surprise, nearly jumping up from Chow''sp. The blush instantly spread

across her face and reached the tips of her ears.

"Brother Chow!" she said with a rather usatory tone.

Chow shrugged indifferently. "You were too slow. I was hungry."

Somehow, he managed to pin the me back on Vivian again.

Embarrassed, Vivian sat back down and fed him a mouthful of mushroom soup. She watched him

anxiously as he swallowed, not daring to eat anymore. As soon as Chow was done chewing and

swallowing hisst bite of food, Vivian would stuff more food into his mouth to keep him busy.

Even with that, Chow still managed to find something toin about.

"What''s the problem with today''s mushroom soup?" Chow asked after another spoonful of soup. "It

doesn''t taste as good as before."

Vivian''s eyes lit up when she heard what Chow said. "Usually, I''m the one who makes the mushroom

soup," she admitted with a soft blush on her face. "But I didn''t make it today."

Hearing her words, Chow couldn''t help but look at her in surprise. "You can cook?"

Vivian nodded. It felt good to know that Chow appreciated her cooking. He was learning a little bit more

about her. "Yes, I learnt from Aunt ine when I was bored."

Chow narrowed his eyes. "Since you''re not going to school anymore anyway, learn more from her and

    cook for me," he ordered.

Instead of feeling repulsed by the order, Vivian felt a burst of happiness in her heart.

She nodded her head in reply without saying anything. However, Chow knew from Vivian''s blushing

ears that she was happy to hear that. It made him feel happy as well.

Dinner ended rather uneventfully after that. Just as Vivian was about to bring the dirty dishes out, Chow

lifted her up in his arms and carried her to the bed.

Heid down next to her, held her in his embrace, and closed his eyeszily.

Vivian hesitated in his arms. "Brother Chow," she said, "Aren''t you going back to your room to rest?"

Chow gave her a sidelong nce and just hummedzily in response.

She felt rather uneasy about his answer, but there wasn''t anything that she could do about it so she

    kept her mouth shut.

It was rare that they got to enjoy a quiet, peaceful time together. Vivian didn''t want to spoil that.

But there were just some things that were out of her control.

Chow had just hugged her for a while when he suddenly asked, "Did Ethan contact you about the

    college application?"

Vivian hesitated for a moment. She didn''t want to talk about it now but she still nodded her head

nheless. "Yes, he brought it up with me the other day."

Chow didn''t open his eyes, but Vivian could still feel the pressure increasing. It was like this every time

he brought up this topic. "Have you decided which college you want to go to?"

Vivian shook her head gently, clenching on the fabric under her fingers.

It wasn''t until Chow opened his eyes and lowered his head to look at her hands that she realised she''d

    been grabbing onto Chow''s pyjamas.

Vivian quickly let go of his pyjamas. Chow frowned at her. "Why are you so nervous? Have you not

    decided on a college yet?"
