Chapter 50 Hell to Earth
"I remember it was over here," the voice behind her was bright and determined, "Wasn''t it, Lexie?"
Lexie was slightly stunned and finally turned to look at Myles.
"Long time no see," The man in front of her was a head taller than Lexie, handsome and bright. After
eight years of absence, he was more mature, and he looked at Lexie with a big smile on his face.
Lexie looked at him in amazement.
[How did you get here?]
Eight years ago, Myles'' family emigrated abroad, and she thought she would never see them again.
In Lexie''s twenty-nine years of life, Myles was one the people who were nice her, like a small sun
almost brightened her entire youth. In her most isted time, he was the one who steadfastly stood by

"It''s been a while, but I''ve been busy with work transfer procedures before, and if I''d known your
grandma was in the hospital, I would havee to see you sooner and been able to help."
Work transfer?
Lexie looked at him in dismay, [You go back to work in the country?]
"Of course, do you think I''de back for travel?"

Halfway through Lexie''s gesture, she suddenly realized that it wasn''t good.
Myles gave a bitter smile, "My mom ...... died two years ago."

Lexie tapped on the back of the phone in response.
"That''s good, Mr. n asked me to arrange for someone to send some wedding candy to your
colleagues, it''s almost there, then I''ll have someone send it directly."
Lexie showed an incredulous look.
Had she misheard? n arranged for someone to distribute the wedding candy to her colleagues?
"What''s wrong?" Myles asked with concern.
Looking at Myles'' clean and bright eyes, Lexie''s heart inexplicably grew a hint of bitterness, she tapped
again on the back of the phone, and hung up.
"What''s wrong?" Myles asked again, "Why do you look so pale?"
Lexie shook her head and forced herself to stay calm.
[It''s okay, I need to get back to the office to deal with something, so I can''t stay with you.]
"Oh, okay, then you go ahead, I don''t need yourpany," Myles sighed in relief and leaned back in
his chair with a smile, "I''ll sit here for a while before I go back, I''lle to you some other time."

Lexie nodded and as she was just getting up, Myles called out her again.
"Aren''t you forgetting something?"
Lexie froze, showing a puzzled look.
[What?]
Myles shook his phone, "Won''t you leave me a contact?"
The afternoon sun was shining, the way Myles smiled made Lexie feel as if she had been pulled back
to earth from the edge of hell in this moment.
Sitting by the window, Myles looked at the verified Wechat on his phone, then put down his phone
reassuringly, and when he picked up his cup, he saw Lexie returning to the library, and he couldn''t help
but raise a smile on his face again.
Why was this girl still as wooden and silly and cute as she was back then?
As soon as she returned to the office, Lexie was swarmed by his colleagues.
"Lexie, why didn’t you tell us?"
"That''s right, you are mysteriously."
"You husband must be handsome and rich, right?"
"Bring him over some day and we''ll meet."
The voices fell on her ears, and Lexie revealed a bewildered face.
Because she couldn''t speak, she usually didn''t interact much with her co-workers, who weren''t hard to

Lexie said thank you, wishing that he could not leave quickly.
