Chapter 26 A Start of Darkness Journey


    Kendra fastly walking going to her workce. The sky started to be dark. A drop of water fell into


    Kendra''s hand. Kendra looked at the sky that had begun to rain. Kendra did look at her bag, " Where is


    my umbre? I put it here inside my bag. Oh no..I left it on my bed this morning.What am I going to do


    now?" She put her bag on top of her head and had no choice but to run so fast up to her workce.


    She finally came on the right time."Kendra, are you all right?" Teacher Jimmy opened the door and he


    saw Kendra gasping. "Yes, I am fine." Teacher Jimmy started to light up his cigarette and walked a little


    side so that Kendra could go inside."Kendra, go inside now, you might catch a cold. There is a towel in


    my locker. You may use it for now. Its a newundry." Teacher Jimmy smilingly said and winked.


    Kendra wasughing hardly."You are really a joker but I like your sense of humor. I will go inside and


    thank you for your concern." Kendra went inside and took Teacher Jimmy''s towel inside the locker. She


    went to the toilet to dry up herself. A strong voice came to her saying." Be always kind and have the

    she was doing and her hair on her hands stood up. The door of the toilet suddenly opened.


    "Oopps...sorry!I thought there is no one using the toilet."It was Teacher Jimmy rushingly wanted to go


    inside the toilet." Actually, I am done. Thank you for your towel. There is aundry shop downstairs. I


    may go there during my breaktime and washed and dried it up then return it to you after." Teacher


    Jimmy said, "Dont bother yourself. Just put it inside of my locker." Kendra still wanted to return it clean


    and dry, "I insist Teacher Jimmy. Anyways, it is really fun to doundry while eating." Kendraughingly


    exined to Teacher Jimmy. "Well, if you really insist I wont say no. Excuse me, Kendra..I cant endure


    it anymore. I really need to pee.Itsing now." Teacher Jimmy''s face was so destructed and shut the


    door." Oh..oopss Sorry, Teacher Jimmy." Kendra gigglingly said and left. Kendra started to work. Time


    was so fast. Kendra could not even see the time of her breaktime. Kendra spent her breaktime at the


    laundry shop for an hour. Inside the Laundry shop, there was a long chair. She sat there ate her foods


    while waiting for the towel to be washed inside the washing machine. The washing machine had


    stopped and Kendra took the towel to the drier machine. She began to yawn and took a nap. She


    started to dream and saw Tommy crying. Kendra saw how angry Tommy and telling to her something.


    She heard this in distinctive voice from nowehere when the drier machine rang so loud. She woke up


    easily as if it was truly happening but then after a second she realized it was just a dream. She stood


    up and went to the drier machine to take the towel."How much does it cost all?" Thedy was looking


    at her for a long time and wanted to say something."I saw you taking a nap a while ago. What you saw


    in your dream was true so dont ignore it." Kendra felt so weird about thedy and asked, " What do you


    mean?How did you know that I was dreaming when I took a nap?"Thedy was strangely looking at


    Kendra and did try to change the topic so that she wont be scared at all."Nothing, It is only 5$. Take


    this stic bag and you may leave. I still have customers. Myundry shop is so busy and no time for


    long conversation."Kendra really felt so strange to thedy. She felt that there was something that she


    didnt know. She just ignored it and left theundry shop. At her desk, she could not forget her dream. It


    was so real and clear that she saw Tommy. While staring at herputer, she remembered what had


    happened between she and Tommy. Kendra switched her mind and ignored everything had happened


    that day. She went to Teacher Jimmy''s table and left the cleaned and dried towel with a note "Thank


    you" from Kendra. Kendra went back to her station and started to make a call. The night wasing


    and Kendra still working that finished at 10 PM. Days went by. Months went by. 6 monthster,


    Kendra''s life started to crumble. The owner announced a very bad news. " This online academy will be


    shut down today. The business was not running so good for the past months and we needed to close


    the operation as of today."The teachers were so surprised of the announcement that the owner did."It is


    not fair. Why there are no notices before you close the business? You dont even think that we are all


    have family here. It is not fair to leave us all here with no job today." Teacher Jimmy imed the rights

    could not say anything standing together with others and listening. It was a surprised for her but what

    with her low tone of voice. The teachers could not do anything only to ept the 1000$ and went

    to calm down Kendra and made her realized that things were merely temporary. The sun would shine


    again to her."Let''s go home guys. Nothing will change if we all be affected on the sudden bad day we


    all had." Teacher Jimmy suggested and exined his opinion. All left the workce and gone
