Chapter 10 Runaway


    Larry kept calling Kendra the next day but Kendra did not answer it. Kendra made herself busy for her


    to forget Larry.


    At the university,


    "Hi, Kendra are you going home now?" Era asked.


    "Yes, I am going home. Why you asked?" Kendra wondered.


    "Oh, nothing! Just wondering that your boyfriend is not fetching you today." Era wonderedly asked.


    "My boyfriend is very busy today. He could not bring me home." Kendra said.


    "Anyway, you have time ?Come and join us to have a small snack before going home." Era asked.


    "Oh, thank you. I am full. I should be going. I still have to wake up in the morning for my ss. See you


    tomorrow." Kendra said.


    "Okay, See you then tomorrow.Bye!" Era said.


    Kendra took a cab alone. The cab stop infront of her house. Larry was standing infront of Kendra''s


    house.


    "Driver, Could you please pull over since we are here?"Kendra said.


    "Yes, Maam." taxi driver said.


    Kendra went out of the taxi then she saw Larry standing in front of her house.


    "Can we talk Kendra?" Larry asked.


    "What are you doing here this time?" Kendra asked.


    "I wanted to talk to you. I cant be feeling this way for days. Let us not fight Kendra. That was not a big


    dealst night."Larry said.


    "It was not that big deal but you were the one who first raised your voicest night. I was trying to help


    you out. It was just your ego as a man more important than how would I feel? I could not understand


    that."Kendra said.


    "Look, I know I made a mistake thats why I am here to apologize. I am sorry aboutst night."Larry said


    "Okay, your apology epted. I am going inside now. Lets get inside."Kendra said.


    "Yes, its better to get inside than here talking outside." Larry said.


    "Its sote night. People are sleeping now. You better be quiet, okay?" Kendra said.


    Larry suddenly kissed Kendra. He started to be aggresive and wild. He kissed Kendras lips down to her


    neck and kendra was carried away. Both were kissing each other.


    "How could you be so fast like that Larry?" Kendraughingly said.


    "I am so into you thats why."Larry said.


    Both continued kissing each other. Larry took Kendras clothes and both went to the dark room. Larry


    kissed Kendras breast and Kendra was moaning quietly then suddenly Kendra pushed Larry a bit away


    from her.


    "Stop!" Kendra suddenly said


    "Yes, what happened?" Larry said.


    "I think you should go now Larry."Kendra said.


    "What is wrong Kendra?" Larry asked.


    " I have to go to my work so early tomorrow. It is toote now. You better leave now before other people


    wake up."Kendra said.


    "Why you bothered alot? Are you scared or something?"Larry asked.


    "No, its just maybe not this time and I have to go to bed now. I still have to wake up in the morning. You


    dont have work thats why you can be awake anytime you want."Kendra exined.


    "I have ss tomorrow too so early." Larry said.


    "Larry please, go home now. I am working student. I dont rest. I work and study at the same time. I


    hope you understand that." Kendra said.


    "Okay, I will go to your university tomorrow to fetch you. Just wait me there?" Larry asked.


    "Okay, call me then after my ss. Bring me home." Kendra said.


    Both kissed each others goodbye for that night. Kendra locked the door and she went upstairs to her


    room to sleep.


    She could not sleep. She kept thinking about how she felt for Larry. She wondered and asked herself


    how much she felt something for Larry. She didnt even know how could she exin it to herself. She


    felt no excitement at all. There was something a fear inside her as she could not even exin what was


    it until she got to sleep.


    The next morning,


    "Oh, my god! I am gonna bete."Kendra said to herself.


    "Hey, Kendra we have to talk."Kendra''s mother said.


    "I have no time now. Can we talkter?"Kendra said.


    "You have to pay for other bills here. Give me your money left in your wallet."Kendra''s mother said.


    "I have no money here."Kendra said.


    "You cant leave the house without giving it to me. I need it now!Kendra''s mother demanded.


    "I need to go now mother. I have no time. Lets talkter."Kendra said.


    "I said you cant leave the house, are you not listening? Give me your wallet now." Kendra''s mother


    insisted.


    "I have no money here I told you. I havent received my sry yet." Kendra said.


    "Give me your payroll slip! I dont believe you.You have to pay the bills now.Why cant you get it?"


    Kendra''s mother angrily said.


    "I have to go now i said. I still have to work."Kendra said.


    Kendra''s mother pulled her hair to stop getting out of the door. Kendra''s mother took Kendras wallet to


    take her money.


    "I thought you dont have money, what is this?" Kendra''s mother angrily said.


    "Dont take it mother its for my exam fee for tomorrow at my university."Kendra criedly said.


    "What the..you can take promissory note, dont you think of that? It can wait but the bills here in the


    house cant wait. You dont have head. Use your head, Kendra nextime okay?" Kendra''s mother said.


    Kendra continously cried then her mother left her at the living room. Kendra called thenguage school


    that she could not go to work that day. She asked for a week leave. She did not also go to the


    university. She packed her stuffs. She left her house and runaway. Kendra didn''t know where to go.


    She kept crying still while walking on the street. She went to Larry''s boarding house. She knocked the


    gate.


    "Yes, how may I help you ms.?"Lady asked.


    " Is Larry around? This is his boarding house, right?"Kendra asked.


    "Oh yes, this is his boarding house. Come.. Come inside. I am hisndy. His room is here. Wait me


    here. I will call him." Land Lady said.


    Landy knocked Larry''s door.


    "Larry, ady is looking for you."Landy said.


    "Yes, Who is she?"Larry asked.


    " I forgot to asked her name but she is at the living room now."Landy said.


    "Okay, I will go down. Thank you." Larry said.


    Larry went down and saw Kendra''s luggages.


    "Kendra, What happened?" Larry shockedly asked.


    "I runaway. I dont know where to go. Can i stay here with you until i find my own ce? Is it okay


    Larry?"Kendra sadly asked.

    "Of course you can stay here. I am your boyfriend. I will take care of you."Larry said.


    "Thank you."Kendra said.


    Larry asked permission to thenddy that Kendra would be staying with him in that boarding


    house.The Landy asked for additional payment for Kendra''s stay.


    "Dont worry I will pay for the extra fee you asked". Kendra said.


    " Well then you may stay here now."Landy said.


    "Thank you so much."Kendra said.


    " Feel at home. Larry is the one to tour you around here.I have to go to the market now. I will leave you


    both now." Landy said.


    " Oh okay.. thank you again." Kendra smilingly said.
