    Shawn''s POV:


    The police knocked on our door as predicted, it seems that dad could not prevent his arrest at least, he


    must have struck a deal somehow, I needed to know who are those persons if I wanted to get them on


    my side. I ced a wire in his office and I indeed knew whom exactly did he call.


    They took him away in their patrol car and I had twenty-four hours to work out on keeping him there. I


    called Siergo to make sure that the doctor is held safely at his ce, I have instructed him yesterday


    that he must protect him at all cost, he is our sole witness after all.


    Gerald killed his brother and I sent the evidence to the prosecutors already, I have tortured the doctor


    to confess. I also threatened him with his family and promised him protection if he bes our


    witness.


    The doctor mentioned that Gerald was having a dispute with his brother, Indigo was mad that Gerald


    hid his daughter from him all this time and told him that he has already signed the will which counts Lily


    as the sole inheritor. He also threatened him to expose his filthy business and promised him that he will


    be locked by his own hands.


    Gerald got mad and ordered the doctor to give him a shot of Pancuronium bromide (Pavulon) which


    causes muscle paralysis and respiratory arrest and that is how Indigo was killed. He did not have the


    chance to apply his promise; he did not expect this cruelty from his own blood.


    The judicialmunity could not turn a blind eye to this case especially that Indigo was loved by


    almost the whole nation''s higher-ups. Indigo''s murder was not the only thing I delivered to the


    prosecutors, I also gave them the record from 15 years ago in which Gerald ordered his man to kill my


    mom.


    The reason why Gerald killed my mom was because of her family, she was an aristocrat who owned


    dozens ofpanies and that is why my dad married her to be exact. Together, they flourished his


    business, even more, unfortunately, Gerald messed with his rival''s business who wanted to avenge his


    bankruptcy.


    My mom was kidnapped and tormented, they raped her and spread her pictures online, it was a very


    secretive matter at that time and her family stopped the news from making any more damage.


    Ashamed and arrogant, he ordered her murder; he thought that it would also be in her best interest.


    Dad thought that I did not know about this, he was mistaken, as ten years old kid I was quite smart to


    understand that mom''s family wanted their daughter to disappear after bringing shame and share


    losses to them. Dad would not go against their decision so I knew he would have dismissed her


    existence and that is why I left my phone on record in his car that day.


    Being charged with two first degrees of murder and several business charges, he will be held on bail


    for twenty-four hours for the investigation, afterward, he will go to court to undergo a trial. During this


    day, I should prevent him from sneaking his way out. Since 2 am I have been searching for


    weaknesses belonging to the men he is counting on to get him out.


    Some of them were hard to found any shreds of evidence against so I decided to move into n B and


    threaten their lives. It was 12 am the next day, 12 hours have passed already, and I received a call from

    "Did you discover anything?" I asked hopefully.


    "Lily has traveled abroad; I can''t tell which country she went to as the airport''s system is very strict. You


    will have to use your connections," He replied.

    I hanged up and called an acquaintance of mine to ask him for this favor, he promised to reply back to


    me which soothed my worries a little bit. I hope I would be able to meet with her soon.


    I was daydreaming about our gather when I suddenly received a call that raised my blood pressure big


    time, I did not see thating.


    Lily''s POV:


    After I settled in, I was hit by a message sent to my phone. No one knows this number, could it be


    Gerald? I guess he would be still monitoring me for a while to make sure that I will not contact Shawn


    and create any problems.


    I checked the message.

    Is that why he sent me specifically to France, he knew where my brother is. What is his purpose for


    sending me his address though, does he think seeing my brother will make me want to stay in France


    or something. He must be out of his mind for thinking this way. He gave me an address that I will never


    go to.


    Two hourster, I was standing in front of my brother''s house. I am not moody guys, I was just curious


    to see how my brother''s been living without me all these years, I wanted to know about his lifestyle and


    his achievements, all out of mere curiosity though. I will not meet with him; I will just take a quick look.


    I was staring at their house standing behind a car that hid my figure; I spotted a cute woman getting out


    to throw trash. Is she his wife? I could not see any kids though, I could not even spot him, maybe he''s


    at work. I waited for two hours but he never came back so I took my leave.


    I was climbing the stairs to ess my apartment; I was fidgeting in my pocket looking for the keys


    when I bumped into a man standing in front of my door. It was only one apartment by floor so I did not


    expect anyone to be here. I raised my head to see who is the guest and that is when I felt the most


    perplexed in my whole life.


    "Who are you?" I asked feigning ignorance even though I knew deep inside that no mere chance would


    cause this messed up assembly.
