I felt my phone ringing, it was 8 pm already, I checked the caller''s identity and it was Shawn. I have to
answer him if I did not want him to track me here, I do not know why is this gettingplicated.
" Look, sir. I really mean you no harm, I just wanted to get a look at the man whom I have feelings for
from a close distance. I am sorry if I caused you any difort," I rified as I got up to take my leave.
His subordinate got up, tried to stop me but I dodged his hand kicking him in the abdomen as I ran as
fast as I could down the stairs to the ground floor. I heard Siergo telling his man to not pursue me.
I called Shawn back as soon as I reached the lobby.
" Why weren''t you answering?" he asked.
" I am sorry, I was in the toilet."
" Where are you? I wille to fetch you."
" No need, I have already ridden a taxi, I will be there in a few minutes." I lied.
I quickly grabbed a taxi and in a sh, I reached the mansion, I wasn''t that far away thankfully. I made a
decision in those few minutes though, it seems that Gerald is trying to use me. I will have to ask him
directly to end all this mess I am in. I will try to act meek if things went south with Gerald but in reality, I
have secured my escape, Tony will help me as well.
" Why were youte?" Shawn who was standing behind the front gate of the mansion asked me.
" I visited ces that I used to frequent with mom when she was alive, I was reminiscing old days that I
lost track of the time." I lied again, I felt pressured whenever I did this with Shawn.
" Okay, go up and rest, we will talk tomorrow," he instructed.
I headed up not to rest but to speak with Gerald.
"I have something to tell you, sir." I began.

" I will leave this mansion, I want to live on my own, I am thankful for everything you did for me." I
tested him with saying these words.
"Why so suddenly?"
" I do not wish to stay here anymore nor do I wish to marry your son." I pointed out.

I was taken aback by what he said, his tone changed as if he was trying to intimidate me.
" I am sorry and thanks again for everything," I repeated.
I opened the door to take my leave but was surprised with two bodyguards guarding the door and
blocking my way, I closed the door again and turned around to face Gerald.
" Do you perhaps know a man called Sergio?" I asked trying to bait him into thinking that I am already
aware that his brother was one hundred percent the one who used tomunicate with mom.
" Indigo? Why do you ask?"
" I saw his car in the garage, I am pretty sure that he is the one who sent mom money from time to
time." I continued.
" Why do you think he gave your mom money for?"
" I think he is my father," I stated tantly.
" Are you saying that my brother had a mistress?"

I couldn''t say ''Yes'' to his question as I was too ashamed to admit it.
" You are ying dirty games, sir. Why else would you want to keep me here if not for him? I do not
want anything to do with this matter so please leave me alone." I stated bluntly raising my volume a bit.

have limits to my patience though and you should not cross them," he growled dangerously as he took
big steps my way.

your son, it is just that you want whatever that I got from Indigo''s will to be yours. Am I right?"

silently or else I will kill all your acquaintances," he threatened as he pulled the mobile from my pocket.

Shit, he isn''t kidding about this... If I am remembering correctly, Indigo actually wished to have kids but
his wife''s womb could not bear any babies, it was his wish in life... Everyone talked sweetly about him
and called him the most modest man on earth since he always ate with the workers in the staff room.
Would such a man be able to abandon his kid? Did he feel guilty about it after all these years so he
included my name in the will?
Would my mom really love a man who is cruel and cold? The answer is no, mom would have never
loved an arrogant rich man, she was never stupid to love a rich man who will not take care of her.
Indigo must have had a reason to not give his brother thepany and I think that reason has
something to do with the will.
