Chapter 43
Michael''s P.O.V.
I sighed cleaning the table for the third time. My brother, Danny ising over today and I just want
everything to be perfect. I feel like it''s been a life time since Ist saw him and I''m so nervous.
I paced back and forth as negative thoughts filled my brain. He''s been here many times before but I
just always get so nervous. Ever since we were little I always wanted to make him proud. What if he
doesn''t like the way the house is decorated? What if he thinks I shouldn''t have dogs in the house and
makes me get rid of ddin. I looked over at the cute puppy sleeping peacefully. He''s a veryzy
puppy but I really love him. If Danny makes me get rid of him, Mya would be devastated.....What if he
doesn''t like Mya..... That would be terrible. I mean, Mya is my everything. She''s my rock, my source of
happiness, my reason for breathing every day. I can''t just let her go...
I sighed running my finger through my hair. I was so excited to see my brother but I was also panicking.
My brother is a very powerful man, one lift of his finger and the whole town goes up in mes. He had
thest say in everything whether I liked it or not.
The doorbell rang causing me to jump. My heart was pounding against my chest. I took onest look
around making sure everything was in order and then quickly went over to open the front door.
A wide smile spread across my face as my brother stood there with his duffel bag. "Danny!!" I yelled
wrapping my arms around his neck. Call me a big baby but I''m a sucker when it came to my brother. I
really love him.
He chuckled and wrapped his arms around me. "Hey little brother!! How are you?" I smiled pulling
away from his hold. "I''ve been good Dan. Come in." I stepped aside so he coulde in. I watched as
he ced his bag down and scanned over the living room. "Wow it''s nice in here Mike." I smiled. "Oh
um thank you."
Danny walked over to the couch and plopped down kicking his feet up. He patted the spot next to him
signaling for me to sit down. I slowly made my way over to him and say down. I couldn''t believe he was
actually here.... "What are you staring at Mikey?" I cleared my throat and shifted ufortably on the
cushion. "Sorry, I just can''t believe you''re here. I missed you so much Danny..." He sat up andughed
pulling me into a hug. "Don''t get all cheesy on me Mike." I chuckled as I felt my cheeks heat up.
We talked a little about what Dan has been doing in the past couple of months. He stayed in Miami to
take care of some business for a week.
"It was so hot there Mikey. I didn''t like it at all." I chuckled, Danny is a winter baby. "Oh Mike, I did some
renovations at the club so you have toe check it out some time." I nodded. Even though I wasn''t
really into the whole ''bondage'' and ''pain'' thing, I still liked going down there to see what was going on.
Daniel is the owner of the BDSM club on the outskirts of town. He''s been there for about a year and a
half now but it''s a pretty sessfully running club. He''s not there all the time because of the drug
dealing, but he goes when can so that he can check on his employees and make sure everything is
running smoothly.
"So Mikey...how have you been?"
I smiled instantly thinking of Mya. "I''ve been really great to be honest. I got a new little.." his eyes
widened and he smiled. "Oh really...?" I nodded feeling my heart flutter. "She''s great Dan and she''s so
cute. Her hair is silky and her brown skin is so smooth...like chocte." I knew I was rambling but I
couldn''t help it. "I took her on a date a couple like two nights ago and it was great!! We went in a hot air
balloon and we went horse back riding and then I took her out to dinner at that nice Italian restaurant
you introduced me too!!" He smiled patting my back, "that''s great Mike!! I wanna meet her...where is
she?"
"Oh she''s still sleeping...but I''m sure she''ll be awake soon."
He nodded. We sat in silence for a second but then Dan looked at me with a very serious expression.
"Alright Mike, let''s get serious...have you been taking your pills?" I nodded immediately. "I''ve been
taking them every morning and every night just like the doctor said." He nodded slowly. "Good boy."
I sighed and sat up straighter. "Um Dan...I don''t wanna take them anymore." His eyes widened and he
stood to his feet. "Are you kidding me?!" I pouted, "Don''t yell Danny." He sighed and ran his hand over
his face. He sat beside me and looked me straight in the eye. "Mikey listen to me...you cannot stop
taking those pills under any circumstances....do you hear me?"
I shook my head, "but Dan-"
"No Michael!! NO!! You cannot stop taking the pills!! You have schizophrenia!!! You and I both know
what happens when you don''t take it!!" I sighed rubbing the back of my neck. "But Dan I haven''t had an

episode in two years.."
He shook his head and spoke calmly. "That''s because of the medicine.."
It was silent for a long time and I started to feel uneasy. Danny sight and patted my shoulder. "I''m sorry
for yelling Mike but I''m just looking out for you.... I don''t want you doing anything stupid. You have a
little to take care of now. That means you have to be there for her and keep yourself sane. He has a
point..
He smiled brushing my hair back. "Speaking of this little...What''s her name?"
I was about to answer but Giselle appeared at the bottom of the stairs. She was wearing one of Harry''s
shirt and her hair was frizzy from sleep. She rubbed her eyes yawning and walked over to me. "Good
morning Mr. Hoff-" she stopped mid sentence and her jaw dropped when she saw Danny.
"Mr. Daniel!!!" She yelled running over to him and hugging him tightly. Giselle always took a strong
liking to him, she said he''s like the father she always wished for.
"Hey littledy." Danny said kissing her forehead. Giselle giggled and blushed, "What are you doing
here?"
Dan sighed, "I''m just vising for a few days. Where''s Harry?"
"He''s sleeping.."
I sat quietly as I listened to there conversation. "Daddy..." I knew that was Mya. I walked over to her
and picked her up kissing her lips. "Hi baby. Did you sleep good?" She noddedying her head on my
chest.
"Baby..." I said walking into the living room. "I want you to meet my brother."
I ced her on her feet and grabbed her hand. We walked into the living room and Mya froze.
"NOOO!!" She screamed. She quickly yanked her hand out of my grasp and darted up the spiral stairs.
I looked over at Danny and frowned. "I''m sorry she''s a little shy... I''ll go talk to her."
I ran upstairs identally bumping into Harry. "Sorry Harry where''s Mya." He pointed to her bedroom
door and sighed, "She ran in there crying. Is she ok?" I shrugged, "I don''t know. She just froze up when
he saw Daniel." Harry''s eyes widened. "Daniel is here?!" I nodded, "Yes but-" I was cut off by Harry
running down the stairspletely ignoring the fact that I wasn''t done speaking.
I sighed and walked over to Mya''s door.
"Princess can Ie in?" She didn''t answer. I slowly opened the door and my heart sank. Mya was
sitting in the corner rocking back and forth as tears streamed down her cheeks.
I slowly made my way over to her and sat on the floor beside her. She crawled into myp and held me
tightly, her body shaking harshly.
"Daddy how could you....why would you invite him here..?" She cried harder and gasped for breathe.
"What do you mean baby...he''s my brother."
She shook her head and looked me in my eyes. "No daddy...that''s him..... that''s master..."
